I see salisbury West battin line up fell apart in dramatic fashion only just managin to amass 200 in two innings, and one tree hill not even passin 100 in either innings. with some of the players clubs have picked up like Ozolins, Rogers and Cree to name a few on top of what were already two quality cricket sides you would think these 2 teams would stand up in a big way.

perhaps complacency? not taking things seriously? or is the gulf between the top 4 and the bottom 4 beginning to narrow?

Conditions have hardly suited the batsmen so far this season, the 3 players you named all played turf cricket last season, I'm sure they'll adjust before too long. It's early on in the season so I'd expect the cream to rise to the top over time.
I don't think there would be any complacency, I do think the gulf is beginning to narrow but there's plenty of talent around in the big 4 clubs, any team from the lower 4 ranked clubs that pinch wins from the big 4 are worth double.
Well done to Virginia, they would've been stoked, their on and off field demeanour against us was excellent.

Obviously the weather has not been great this season, but batsmen get the same deck every week on concrete!! I think the wet conditions hamper the bowlers more by having to run in on wet grass and bowling with a slippery ball!

It hasn't really been wet, just slow lush outfields and more of the dark overcast conditions I was referring to along with the ball swinging a mile.

There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

Kookaburra's when we play in Australia and Dukes when we play in England. I prefer the English ball as it helps me get a lot of reverse swing. That's how I get most of my wickets.

Someone needs to replace Browny

Also congrats to Groover on his first ton for the club - took him 2 games - Browny still waiting to get his name on the bat 8)

Thanks, was defenately favoured by the conditions of the weekend, going out on a limb here but I would have to say Parafield Gardens oval is the most batsman friendly one I have played on, Clear views all round, quick outfield, and smallish boundaries most of the way around.

Also kudos to all the guys at PG, as even though they seemed to struggle with form a bit played in good spirits and not at one moment gave up, really do wish them the best and hope they can get a win or two at some stage this year.
