SANFL Guernseys

Postby Punk Rooster » Mon Oct 25, 2010 7:07 pm

I would like some feedback on the following jumpers, to see if I have them spot on or not.
Please advise on issues like- collar wrong colour, logo on chest too low, different shade of blue etc.
I have tried to capture these faithfully, & have had to resort to memory more often than not.

Glenelg's socks have 3 gold hoops and the Gold sash is a bit wider to the collar.

Why in the back view are the shorts on backwards?? :? :)

Port's is pretty close.

Being picky, there are six prison-bars on the guernsey.

And there's no centred white prison-bar below the v collar.

That's just black...

...and just a tad smaller?...

Glenelg's sash could be a bit straighter

1) haven't worked on socks yet
2) have worked on the sash- made it straight in stead of curved
3) :? - as the shorts are "flat", the SANFL side panel can be seen front & back!

Interesting..
I think punky's rough looks better than the actual guernsey in the picture.
That yellow sash is too wide and too prominent and the result is unbalanced to the eye..

Agreed, looks more like an entrant to the Miss South Australia quest than a footy guernsey.

I think the WT and WA guernseys need a bend in the sash.

Punky what era are you going for here? It looks like the early 80s to 1990? WT wore yellow shorts in 1980 and Westies' sash didn't go around the back in 1981 (a manufacturing error I heard somewhere).

not sure to be honest- you'll note i've used the old badges (where I could- see WA & Sturt), & try to reflect that era.
Both NA & CD have the new logos, & their current design.
As for the WT & WA- more like the one in my first Glenelg jumper?

Ooh no.
The bend looks horrible
Essendon's current jumper is proof of that.
And North's vee is pointed

I mean the WT and WA ones should be like the Glenelg one. Shouldn't they? I thought WT was just the same as GL.

Punky, they all look very professional BTW. Have you seen this web site?
