Looking for an outright are we beeroclock? Good on David Heyzer for not calling all games off. Ingle Farm U17 game got away on time at Hope Valley without any work being required at all. The problem with Juniors is that many pitches were either not prepared are not fully prepared for Saturday and not many clubs have access to a curator who will prepare a pitch on Sunday morning for Junior games. Pity really because all pitches would have been dry enough to play on Sunday.

Hopefully Ingle Farm sets the bar and learnt that cricket is played on Sunday's as well and not to disregard junior cricket in the future. Sure other clubs dont have access to curators on weekends but those that do should not try and save dollars at the expense of a game.

dont think it was about saving dollars, we sure as hell dont disregard jnr cricket, pretty sure the wkt hadnt been prepared from 11am Friday to the end of saturday. our other oval which the 13s were playing on sunday morning wasnt able to be prepared. so unless the curator could get there by 11am to get a wicket up what do you do. maybe a phonecall needed to be made to the main curator to see if he could get there, whos role in the club is it to do this. it tells me one thing and that is the importance of some more people putting up there hand to help out
