It wont happen IMO, but if the strongest side was picked then they would be very competitive!

Best XI? Probably too hard to call this early with alot of unknowns to the comp.

The source is only playing B Grade ;)

As I've said previously, I'd rather see a one off game, against the Barossa perhaps, make it an annual event, perhaps a masters game aswell and alternate venues annually.
This would get the best side possible as it wouldn't be an overkill or become a chore.

Spot on lm... A 1 off game against barossa is the go, would def get the strongest side to represent pdca.. Cusa cup is to much work...

Too scared to play ATCA? ;)
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

ATCA didn't even want to buy shirts last season for their association team, it would be better to play a predominantly hard wicket association and at least we know the game would go ahead.

Not looking good for tomorrow, the 40mm rain we are looking at getting is coming later than expected so probably wont hit until late tonight and continue throughout tomorrow.

Surely if you are going to go to the trouble of setting up an Association side you would want to play more than one game against Barossa. Can't see why you wouldn't want to have a crack at the SAMCA Cup - only 3 games.

Bit harsh. Wayne Phillips did a great job building up the profile of the CUSA Cup games and I thought ATCA has been pretty well represented over the past couple of years in both Seniors and U21. They did win both last year didn't they. Will be interesting to see what sought of focus ATCA have on the SAMCA Cup games this year. If all associations treat these games seriously it should be a good comp.

only way it will work is have byes for all Div 1 clubs - then the best players will be available and for it to be played on a Saturday

the thing also with PDCA is that in general the best X1 are all close to or over 30 and have young families so they dont want to waste an entire weekend on cricket (finals in March obviously excluded ;) )

personally I would like to see a representative game between pdca and barossa, it would be very interesting to say the least. PDCA would get the win to I think

Mate, the dates change continually, games get cancelled at the last minute, all of this info should be set in concrete by September to run smoothly. Last season our under 21's had to meet up on the Sunday morning to get an oval confirmation of where they were playing, we ended up getting a call Saturday night saying the game had been cancelled.

I'd have him in my squad if I was a selector.
