Nurse "Doubt you will be going home tonight"
'Doctor' "She doesnt sound too bad, will check her in x hours and you should be right to go home"
More senior Doctor comes over and after the examination says, "You wont be going home for at least tonight".......
Been through all that myself over the years.
My son clearly had asthma from just about birth - and there is clear family history of it.
However
The don't/wont 'diagnose' it as asthma until after they are 2 years old.
(Well back then - not sure what they do now)
So we suffered through with 'non-existant' asthma until after he turned 2 - and guess what once he turned 2 they told us he had asthma!
