Oh i thought u meant the actual one in the paper!

To me the flag is insignificant, it would just be a delightful by-product of going up to Div 4. That to me is the most important thing.

Hopefully Jugs' internet credit runs out, or he gets a clue, one or the other.

Look don't mistake me as someone that is boasting about our sensational record in the lower grades, all i'm doing is defending my club from a parrot that has an agenda against pfc for some reason. I'm not sure how HVFC got involved in it to be honest.

There are clubs in a better position than us, and there are clubs in a worse position than us, like any other club in the comp bar one. The only club that can brag this year is Henley, because they reached the top of the top.

We won some flags, didn't win the one we wanted, next year hopefully.

The Bs and Cs can't be blamed for the As not winning a flag
.

That's not how I read it. Others might be different. The last few pages have been about PFC's quest for a new A grade coach so I just wanted to comment so I didn't feel left out! Good luck with your new coach and hope he can take you guys to the next level. We would like the other spot in the GF next year ;) i'll leave you and jugs to it...

That's where you and I are different.

Having seen our A grade lose their last 3 Grand Finals (and having played in one of them) I believe that going up a division is a "delightful by-product" of winning a premiership!! We have gone up from Div 7 to 6, and Div 6 to 5 (twice) all without the ultimate success. Our last a grade flag was in 1994. An A grade premiership means everything to our club - that is the most important thing to me!

You just need to make the GF for what you want, especially seeing the premiership is insignificant to you :?

Obviously the here-and-now players want the flag, and thats understandable.

From what i'm hearing from past-players especially back in 09, was that all they wanted was for plympton to start making its way up the divisions. Do that and premierships will come. Do that and sponsors will come. Do that the opportunity to attract high quality players will come. Do that and the revenue streams will come. All of this not without hard work of course.

Plympton came from a very powerful club in the 80s, to just going down and down and down. Since the SAFA dissolved the club has never gone up, only down. I just want to get them back up to a respectable div. And getting up to Div 4 is a start!

By the way these observations are just how i feel, and how some others feel that i have spoken to. Just because they are how i feel it doesn't necessarily mean thats how the Club is approaching it.

I assume that a flag is high on the agenda just like any other club, just where it sits compared to promotion- you would have to get a mission statement from the comittee i guess.

Don't you worry about the Blues Jabber. They're a long way from Plympton and whilst they don't play in a strong a comp as your beloved Bulldogs, we show a lot more loyalty to clubmen but always strive to win the 'A' grade flag. Cos that's where a club is measured.

You and fellow Plympton posters have made your club out on this forum, to be a club happy to play finals, win lower grade flags even if it comes at the expense of those that deserve it. No wonder you're having trouble finding an 'A' grade coach.

Well peoples perception is thier reality. The fact is that the club is not at all happy to just play finals. It still baffles me how you come up with the fact that winning the lower grades has come at a cost the the A grade. You are still yet to put up a case to show me how that has occured. But generally facts have no place on internet forums.

The Blues won a flag in 09 is that correct? thier first flag for 56 years if i'm not mistaken? I hope the 2s didnt win any flags in that 56 years to keep the 1s from winning one...

One flag in 56 years!?!? Now you are a peanut. Can you ever get your facts straight, or you still convinced your club didn't drop a guy for kid to win a 'C' grade title?

your a clown with NO clue for what you speak off and I can personallyy assure you that you are TOTALLY WRONG on your thougts... 4 or 5 other guys were just as unlucky, regardless of how many games they played...

Keep telling yourself what you want to believe if that relieves your conscience.

I have no personal attachment to the person involved but can see a lot of posters trying to defend their club with lies. Karma has a funny way of working. Good Luck in finding that Coach.

I can tell you 'Clown' that if you were around Ceduna way in 97 or 99 you might have seen some celebrations around the town, or perhaps I just imagined it all up and those medals at home are fake?

have heard from a VERY reliable source that 1 Ben Porter has applied for the Plympton senior coaching role. Bit of a step down for him, but a huge pick up for Plympton if he has applied. would think he would have to be top of there shortlist. A quality A grade coach, also with league experience. could be just the thing plympton need to take the step up to div 4
