i really thought it would be a year for the batters, just with the likes of oz. creedy. rogers. 8 brahma boys. and raug(spelling?)..
but looking around there is def some quality bowling line ups to..

Some real quality bowlers as well though! ... and not sure i would put creedy in the list of batsman

from the boundary thought rosies were appealing for caught behind.... interesting decision that 1 not sure wot happened myself. good to see a little banter n passion out there on the ground but both teams having a beer after. well the 1s who stayed around for a bit anyway. good to hear jims fired up, like he didnt give me enough bumpers n bruisers anyway ;)

Yep the banter was good, the poor umpire didnt no wtf was going on when I was out there batting, he had never seen anything like it... But I will say there was some banter directed at our number 3 batsmen that just wasnt needed? Like you and me said after the game as long as it doesnt get personal it is all good.. I guess thats where jim comes into it ;)

im guessing the umpire hasnt seen that level of banter b4 or a batsman sledging the fielding side in return. nice work i might add, enjoyed it. personally thought it was a bit of a larf however i will admit the big fella at no.3 got a fair send off and i will chat to my boys not to get too personal. a bit over the top in hindsight but the boys were pumped at 2/3 and wanted to return fire for previous sledging. will make sure i buy him a beer after game on saturday. really enjoyed the battle with jim b4 the softess dismissal of my career, good catch though

who else in there is really going to challenge them? Central United? Brahma?

Yeah would think Craigmore would be favourites, better depth this year with a couple players standing up easing some pressure from Gav and Dobbo. I actually noticed Moore playing B grade, pretty handy cricketer from memory, shows good depth.

Would expect Central United to be playing finals this year too, as long as Dave Ritzema is playing there they'll be competitive. Also young fella Neil Tankard is a handy bowler too, good to see him in the wickets.

IMO Brahma B grade is 1 bowler short to be a genuine chance, batting is obviously the strength, I guess that theory will be tested this weekend chasing 260 against Central United. Good test for the lads to see how they shape up in Grade 2.

he told me the same. said he isnt even that happy there but just wants to play cricket. he was extremely close to moving clubs but figured it was too much effort to move for half a season so he stayed at craigmore. but the players he went there to play with are all playin in there A grade anyways. he was tempted out by there B grade captain plus a couple of others, but they are playin As. be interesting to see what he decides to do next season

They would definetely have to be favourites, probably still lack a genuine quick....don't we all. Good blend of youth and experience, solid batting line-up. Having said that, I think Central United aren't far behind them though, a relatively young emerging team that go about their business well, they'll win most of their one-dayers.
Maybe if ATCO played their best 11 in the A's they might be somewhere around the mark aswell.

Anyone rate any grade 1 sides a chance for an outright this weekend? OTH would surely be rating themselves a chance, and BL look the most likely to push for it with PG batting lineup crumbling two games in a row..

Definately not R&C according to Catchit!!
There once was a bloke named Fracka,
Scored runs since he was a young tacka,
But alas not anymore,
his shot selection's been poor,
and now they call him QUACKA!!

Were you there lm? Massive dog.. Held up play for a good 20 min I think? Young macca also helped get the score close to 350 with some typical macca shots
