The game wouldve been a lot closer if he didn't play...especially with the conditions on the night...his skills, and ability to score from free kicks put Port away, who imo probably had the better of the first half, without putting on enough score board pressure.
Na Fianna's keeper was also good setting up a lot of play down back, and taking the game on. NF's full back also played a very good game, stopping a lot of Port's movement forward, and picking the right option when going forward.![]()
Port will be better if they can learn to be a bit more disciplined, move the ball better in their forward half, and have their midfield help out their defence. A decent effort by them against a much more experienced outfit.

You haven't seen the great Gino Pegararo play, he spent 85% of game play at the half way line

Saints to break the duck and get the season started with a win over mitcham. 6-10 points
Loving machine to continue improving with a solid win over port. Port will be missing tom nicohols as i will be getting him pissed at derby day. Goats to win 11-16.
Onkas to beat Flinders in a game of the round blockbuster. tensions will be high and this could be an epic. Flinders boys will love a chance to cause an upset. this will go to the wire and will not be suprised to see flinders win. onkas for me 1-6.
Na Fiana will be too strong for the improving Irish. Kenny Fay to set a scoring record. finns by 10-16.
Thought the umpiring on friday night in our game was very good, let the game flow and kept discipline. Mitcham have improved a great deal and will only get better they are a fast running side apart from a couple of heavy bodies. The goats started to look damaging close to the goal and the return of big Flash Gordon is very welcomed by the goats.
