For me, I am a tad biased, as Boucher is one of my favorite players, but he's the most capped keeper, and has the record for most dismissals (they do sort of go hand in hand), and I don't know if he does still, but DID have most runs scored without conceding a bye.

The runs he's made don't phase me, and the top 5 would likely end up declaring at 3-782

Zaheer, from what I have seen, was just a glorious batsman- His average of 44 doesn't quite stack up, but simply in my eyes a star who could turn a match in a session (FWIW it was either him or Lara).

I'd like to see what others would pick as well...
:D

If I was to play against your side I'd be delighted to see Bouhcer walk out to bat instead of Gilchrist.

The 'REB' XI

1. C Tavare
2. G Boycott
3. B Lawry
4. D Ramshaw
5. S Katich
6. M Brearely
7. An inanimate carbon rod (wk)
8. S Muller
9. D Doshi
10. P Tuffnel
11. C. Matthews

12th REB

What a talented group this is. With such exciting strokemakers as Boycott, Tavare and Brearley the fans would flock.....to the exits. For those of you who aren't sure about Ramshaw at one stage he scored a half century in sheild cricket that took over 350 balls. You couldn't have a REB XI without the Kat of course and seeing as I never kept in my life some bloke called Rod got the nod.

The brilliant bowling line up consists of the party animal Tuffnel, the highly erratic Matthews and brilliant all round cricketers in Doshi and Muller. I just scraped in to pour and drink the drinks.

I'd find room for "end of career" Inzi, if you can discount his starting weight... ;)

It's hard to FIT him in ;)
Which Fat Bastid would you take out?
He wasn't a bowler, which all but Taylor and Boon can take some sort of credit (as minimal as it might be) for.
I'll make Inzi 12th man.
He'd be the ultimate 12th man for the Fat Bastids - too slow and unharried (won't say lazy) to be a good fielder.

Dwayne Leverock - not enough BIG game experience for mine.

I also missed Colin Milburn and Colin Cowdrey in the side.

Cowdrey could probably replace Taylor at the top of the order, but seriously his nickname is Tubby. How could you drop him!

After naming a Fat Bastid team, this thread's title could be changed to "The Joy of the (fat) arse"
Added fat in brackets so as not to excite anyone into thinking this was an NSFW thread.

Tufnell took a fine catch in front of the Hill one day at Adelaide Oval. You wouldn't have seen Doshi do that. He is the worst fieldsman I have ever seen playing International Cricket in the last 35 years.
