Morialta batted first and made 133 or there abouts. Big Bryce taking a couple wickets and myself (opened the bowling  ), m frith, clarkson and eddie grabbing singles. We should've had them out for under 100 but i think 7 or 8 dropped catches really hurt us.

We ended up making 100 roughly I think. No major scorers, alot of stupid shots and thinking we had the game in the bag cost us victory. Also, 1 of their bowlers ripped through our middle order taking 5/13.

We were without Barnes and Holland, so it was a very young outfit with Bryce and Eddie the only elder statesmen in the team.

Still, it's only round 2 and im fairly sure teams will still be shaking off the cobwebs so not alot to read into form wise I think.

jesus mate 97! WTF did well to keep them to 133 but 97 not good! ohh well as you said its only round2.

why didnt barnesy play?

7 or 8 dropped catches   who dropped them all?

If your b grade keeps the same or close to it group for the entire season as it had yesterday, i believe they could honestly push come end of season in the finals..

In other news i see my brother went well in the C grade 8)

in finals though they wont get to umpire themselves....apparently yesterday there was 3 catches behind that were not given out- one was caught one handed infront of second slip! Also a few LBW's, although they are harder to give.
Not really preparing yourselves well come finals time

Pretty sure it wasn't Balneaves, it was the indian bloke. Also when he was batting, i was fielding right up close, he launched a full blooded cover drive at me, hitting me fair in the collarbone :( diagnosis is maybe a cracked collarbone :(

Barnesy didnt play coz of his knee i think? Nathan dropped 3 catches, took 2 though. Fridd dropped a couple, and Eddie dropped a couple real hard chances in the slips. His are forgiveable though.

Yeah definately makes it extremely frustrating when people umpiring fail to make the correct decisions! Im being careful not to openly call anyone a cheat but yesterday in my game as well we had similar issues. Dont understand how people can do it!?!

Anyway i was only saying that Enfield B grade on paper looks pretty strong, and yes come finals is a completely diff story.

No !1 tool at it again ecky was correct in his theroy Enfield selection is a complete joke the tool himself picked in the b grade but refused to play wanted c grade and guess what .The enfield c team win easy again no 1 tool racking up runs and wickets the b grade won on the backs of some great young talent mixed. with two old codgers trying there best for the team showing with a great deal of heart any side can get up .Those playing c grade who know they should be up a grade well ECKY you work next to him i beleave ask him why this happens three tools pick the sides then two of the tools change it to suit themselves .The Ateam will keep losing the c team will win another flag and the b team will be the whipping boys for the club .No 1 tool should know this as he captained the B team last season picking his own side each week and getting flogged each week not taking advice from those at the selection table after all he knows best .This ECKY is how it is done at enfield a once great club in my opinon mabye not that of others This continues and all that history will be destroyed no1 tool if you put all the energy you waste on talking crap into growing up and getting a job well who am i kidding?

Couldn't agree with you more, in my experiences with enfield they've always been good blokes off the field, but they give you nothing when umpiring.....well known for that! But that's cricket....

As for the B grade side, this weekend was a tough one for Vi$ta's.... 6 or 7 players missing. A's fielded with 10. I wouldn't read too much into the result yesterday!
But that's just my opinion, and i'm only a little kid.

From the Sunday Mail

Div 1
Para Vista 8/192 def Adelaide Lutheran 136
NE Knights 2/128 def Fitzroy 8/127
Rose Park 2/119 def Ross Smith Tigers 109

Me thinks the Ross Smith Tigers are in for a long season. Credit to them for stepping up to A grade but sadly it doesn't appear they're up to it.
