Awesome effort by Jimmy who bolted in the B&F!

On a side note...what monkey put together the Div 4 Team of the Year in the budget?? How can T Shep not make the team?? He won the association medal!! It's like leaving Dane Swan out of the All-Australian team!

Is there a link to this side ? so we can view it

Find it hard to believe... they seemed pretty loyal to the Grove

Anyway Griffin thats a div 3 problem now... thank god
We just have to worry about the other 9 teams in what will be a very tough division again next year....great!!!

its not a problem Turk, its just interesting footy news, I can post it in div 4 thread when it starts but they probably wont even know who those players are or find it interesting. Very reliable source for the rumor, the fact nobody has denied it I think its on the money, dissapointing news for GG as they are very good important players but we all know anyone can be replaced and I wish GG luck in their recruiting, they knew they would have to pick up a few players and now they just have to pick up a few more.

most players know who these players are. Just reading the budget each week you see kuhndt and boxer written about all the time and the the other guy won the medal this year from memory. kuhndt especially is hard to forget and we were a few divvys below GG this year

Bit disappointed not to hear much about the 2 GF's this year. There are a fair few GG posters on here. Maybe a sour note I guess, but would be good to hear what everyone thought. Especially in the 2's as GG were just about pencilled in for the flag.
So in both games... where was the game won, good players who played poorly, players that stood out, good and bad (slow) coaching moves etc.

stop being a tosser mate. no need for this a good 6 weeks after the Grand Final. been done and dusted and won and leave it at that rather than sh*t stir. At least GG made it that far as all grand final sides. where did your mob come sport?

the GG people are fine just like 95% of most supporters and players from all clubs so stop being a tosser when it is not needed as you are just trying to rub there noses in the fact that they lost 2 grand finals. there time will come to win flags (but will yours)

Not meaning to take sides here is it alice, but FF's mob won the flags, and he had a fair day out himself.

And I don't think he was trying to shit stir, just wanted some neutral views on the games.

Nah Footy Follower is being a dick. Is It Alice is correct in what he is saying....the GF's happened 6 weeks ago and we have taken the loses on the chin and are more worried about the pre-season ahead and having a decent crack at Div 3. I know FF is from Pooraka so we look forward to doing battle again in 2011.

Well obviously you guys haven't taken it on the chin. You've reacted very negatively to his post and come to think of it, the games haven't even been discussed by anyone from GG in any great length at all.

I don't think he was shitstirring.

(and I'm not taking sides, just calling it from an outsiders point of view. If anything I should be bias toward GG, as I have family playing there and helped them out on GF Day)

I think we have taken it on the chin FC. Not sure what else we need to do/say to prove it ??

I posted that we were well and truly thumped in both games, they were way too good on the day, ran the ball well, skills were spot on and apart from the Bulls A grade kicking 20+ behinds on the day their forward entries were clean and they rewarded their teammates for the efforts. Yes the B's may have been pencilled in for the win, but being 6-0 to zip at quarter time and massively under the pump with their pressure and intensity we were never in it. As for teh A's well, we hadn't beaten them all year which goes to show they weren't just the best team on the day but the best club in Div 4.

But that's all done and dusted now, we will meet them again next year in Div 3 and continue the battle and I'm sure they'll rub our noses in it, but that's sport.
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.
