Not a big goal kicker, so I dont know if he would win a game off his own boot. Is a top player though and will be missed this year, he has been lured back to Aldinga for 2007 season.

I can assure you that Tom could win games off his own boot. Although he might not have bagged too many sausage roles himself I once saw him dominate a final after two of his team mates were yellow carded. Tom took the game by the scruff of the neck and almost single handedly won the game such was his dominance between the half back/half forward lines. All to no avail unfortunately. I wouldn't have thought ruck would be his ideal position though. Possibly more suited to CHB where he can control the backline and use his pace to burn off the opponents and link up through the midfield. I can assure you that he was the best full back going around but hated playing there. Probably avoided mentioning it to anyone so that he didn't have to play the position when he changed leagues.

Ok... so we're talking about a guy who was a "game breaker" in VFA or whatever juniors 10 years ago and has been playing at christies for 2 years and now "lured" back to Aldinga?.... Now I've heard everything!!.....wouldn't it be worth everyones while talking about decent players....and not hack players who transfer between clubs who have done nothing in the last 10 years?

Cheech, it's the Southern football league thread, Aldinga and Christies are in SFL. So unless you're from Morphettvale you've done nothing for 3 years??

Just relax buddy - just having a bit of fun. And who said anything about VFA? Is that the only league in victoria is it? Shows your intelligence doesn't it. And besides that, I reckon his better than a "hack player". Are you saying you wouldn't have him at your club? I'd say that winning a B&F, at any club at any level means that someone must rate your ability over a full season, not just one or two games. Hacks don't win B&F's too often mate, but they do get on here and have a crack at other players.

What I mean is, we wonder why other comps don't rate SFL, this bulletin board talks so much about Hackham and Aldinga its ridiculous!! The amount difference between the bottom and top teams is ridiculous.... The reality is no B&F A-graders from last years bottom 7 teams would find it hard to get a game in Morphett Vales or even Coves A-Grade teams!!

Why does everyone bag Cove. The have played in 2 Plemilm. Finals in two years. They are the third best performing team in the comp. over the last two years. Sure their young, but wasent M/Vale like that 5 years ago?

Cove are a good team.... but unfortunately they are the team everyone loves to hate!! I know a few of the guys, and they are top blokes.... But it seems they all ways one or two guys that ruin it for everyone else. I have no doubt, with the team they had last year + their u/18s team was ridulously good compared to the other teams last year, unlucky to lose their prelim, otherwise I reckon they would have gone on to win it!! They will be stronger in 2007. They just have to keep their head under pressue and they'll win the big games.

check, just to pick you up on one point. Not always true your statement about b&f winners, remember two years ago when kangarilla where in southeren league.thorpe would of been in the top 5 players in competion and kangys didnt make finals.

i would think bachmann and neil reeves from christies, rigney and mcintyer from lonsdale, darren banyer and ryan wade from marion, shane comer and michael eagleton from noarlunga would all make the morph vale or cove team. The bottom teams are week you dont have to be smart to work that out. But most teams still have a couple of players who would fit into any top 21 players in the top teams.

Sorry Shoey for having Noarlunga in pic. Only one I had (except for when he played against Aldinga but is embarrassing for me  ). Bit unfair on Tom as he never said he was a gun, definitely not a hack is my point. Top bloke, always trains, has a beer and a laugh - most important I reckon

Even I'm sick of hearing about Aldinga.

Somebody post about another team.
