I don't mind, so long as the entrance gate is lit well enough that no-one steps on my brand new pair of thongs.![]()
Seriously though, the 'Dogs could play at Cape Northumberland at 4am in July under the light of a dozen torches and a fading camp-fire, I'd be there.

SAFC wrote:The South Adelaide FC is thrilled to announce that lighting for night SANFL football will be installed at Hickinbotham Oval for the commencement of the 2011 season.
Fernleigh Gardens Estate has taken up the final 5-year partnership joining Angas Securities, Vili’s, and Cathie Peters The Good Guys as light tower sponsors.
Fernleigh Gardens Estate, located in Woodcroft is managed by Jim Michalakos who also oversees Eureka Care Community Villages at Hackham and Christies Downs.
These sponsors join the City of Onkaparinga, the AFL and SAFC volunteer group the Panther Club, as key contributors to this exciting project.
Panther CEO Ben Kavenagh stated “all south members are greatly indebted to the fantastic contributors that have shared our passion of bringing this project to life. Combined with our recently completed $4M office and licensed club renovation, and the inclusion of the Southern Football League; Hickinbotham Oval is now truly a football facility that all people of the South can be proud of”.
“We believe our ability to finally fixture home games at alternate time-slots to AFL fixtures and Southern and Great Southern Football League games, to be a key ingredient to increasing our relevance in the South. Despite successful efforts to make Hickinbotham Oval the most family friendly venue in the SANFL, which has resulted in 5 consecutive years of crowd growth, we have no doubt the scope for further growth is enormous. We see an ability to play at night during the warmer months, combined with on-field success, as the only missing links in stamping the South Adelaide Football Club as a key feature of the South.”
Following a survey of its membership, the Club believes Saturday night to be the most relevant time-slot for its local market, but have not ruled out trailing Friday, or even Thursday night. In addition, with no cricket pitch, and 12-month access to the facility, the Panthers are also hopeful that the addition of lighting will enable it to bring regular AFL pre-season games to Noarlunga.

Where did ya steal those from?
To be honest I am the same with North, I will travel anywhere and in any conditions to watch them play.

So will it now be an 8 layer minimum for games![]()
Seriously this is great for South, and if Centrals were to play South in a night game down there, I'd certainly go (even though the trip there will take an extra 20 minutes with the Expressway going in the wrong direction)

We still catch it for the return home. Still, an extra 15 minutes for an over 120 kilometre round trip would be no real issue anyway.
Wasn't there some talk of duplicating the Southern Expressway into a full carriageway?
