no idea zed about much else just the topic in the pub was all about micko and corbett. carl will be a big loss and might be a bigger loss than corbett. just someone to aim at with big hands and kicks goals

a few of the guys were hoping with corbetts 'old man' going on as the coach he would stay on but cant blame him for giving it a go at the eagles. talented and might as well have a go at his age

sounds like D6 will be even tougher next year with some decent clubs coming down.
It's surprising to see North Haven this low, and could see them having a good year.
I'd imagine the two teams coming up from D7 would be stronger than the bottom two this year aswell.
I would think Henley would be a much tougher team to come up against in 2011, with the players being better for the experience in D6, and from what i've heard a few fairly talented pick ups.
Trinity, CLG and Kenilworth will all be around the mark again also.

Agreed Lutz, I can see season 2011 will be a tough and pretty even contest in Div 6. I think both teams coming down and coming up can make some real inroads in the grade. Henley, helped by their A grade winning the Div 1 flag, will atract some more players to their club i'm sure and as much as it pains me to say it they could be around the mark. IMO CLG will be the benchmark and the pace-setter earlier in the year.

wont be lockleys at this stage after losing Micko and Corbett plus a few others undecided apparently. The wheels just fall off every time when the club start to look good and then go backwards again. long road ahead now

final standings

Trinity
Kenilworth
BOS
CLG
north Haven
Houghton
Central united
Adelaide University
henley
Paralowie

has to be trinity's year this year i reckon, if they keep the current team they will be tough to knock off. everthing ive heard about blackfriars in D5 last year says they will be very competitive in D6, same with north haven. Central United will be a better team than they were in 09 in this div. Unless paralowie do some recruiting in the off season i cant see them staying up. I dont want to say they were lucky to stay up last year. but i think if they had the team they had in the last half of the year for the whole year they would have been in trouble.

dont disagree with most of that thread except i believe that you will find at the roos they were very disillusioned and their was no focus with the dramas at the club.i believe if they can get that right they will be the big improvers.maybe not top three but around the mark.clg for me will be top three with blackfriars and north haven
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

I would say at this early stage your ladder probably wouldnt be very far off the mark! I'll go the same except i think TOS and Kenilworth will prob finish higher, CLG mid pack.

i personally reckon BOS and Nth Haven would have to improve a fair bit to be considered a top 3 side imho... NH relied on 1 person to much and BOS didn't really have any stand outs... However saying that, i REALLY hope they come straight back up to D5 and prove me wrong because i have the up most respect for both clubs.... Prove me wrong please...
