Biggest load of crap i've heard, very wishful thinking.
No way in the world would Gunning, McDowell, Jaques etc leave a club like $$Torrens Valley$$ for a club like Port Districts.
These guys would be on $1000-$1500 per game, do you think they'd leave for $150-$200   & then worry if they'll get it come the end of the year.
Unless someones won the lotto at Districts theres no chance these lads will all be suiting up in black & white next year.

Been doing a bit of homework on this rumour & watchdog may well be on the money, & in line for an apology, sorry champ!
With TV going Central they won't have the money they once had is what i'm hearing, a few guns will stay but the Gunning & McDowell factor now looks prominant, Pt Districts have somehow struck it rich if they are to get these 2 blokes.
Isn't it funny when the money dries up their off even after winning a flag. The grass ain't always greener on the other side!

I'll believe it when i see it. Money man not coaching TV next year but will still be heavilly involved. Have heard that Brett Ohara heading there for big $ so there must be a bit in the kitty still. Will Clayton be a non playing assistant as i think he may struggle on the field.

Not sure if this is true but i was told the Bloke who used to be involved out there (i think B grade coach) that now has Districts job was pretty important to the club financially, i have been led to believe alot of the money they were splashing was through his doing, so maybe districts are reaping the $$rewards$$ of appointing him

Yeah think your info is a bit mixed up. Pt Districts new coach was recruited a couple of years ago as a paid player so the only involvment he had with money at Torrens Valley was taking his share each week.

I read the article and it seems he will be a non-playing coach.

Speaking to someone in the know at Districts on the weekend & $$$$ look to be the problem in securing Gunning & McDowell, they won't come for what they have been offered.
