My computer has a video card that has a HDMI port. Just got a HDMI cable ($25 from MSY) and plug it into my TV.

Picked up a small wireless KB and mouse from MSY for $32 and boom.... away we go. Very handy for downloaded movies and tv shows.

Im undecided on the mouse yet but the colours alone makes it very cool!
The keyboard is less than $100 but not my cup of tea, but the son loves his.
I prefer something like a Logitech G Series keyboard.

Been playing Borderlands for the last 2 days with my son and this game is frigging awesome, we're absolutely loving it. Best game I've played for a long time.

Rise of Nations - is an early 2000 game that combines the best elements of Civilization & Age of Empires. Can pick up the game for $20

Batman Arkham Asylum is pretty cool - certainly the graphics are making my beastie work hard but it looks sublime.
