have also heard birdwood have signed on a few players although they are keeping them pretty secret for the time, not even the committee was told who they are, hey gimp!

It's a real shame I think for Scott... I understand the desire to play divvy 1 but I would have thought the allure of winning an A grade flag with the club he's been at for most of his footy career would be enough to hang around. He's been around in the tough times, won 12 or so games in 4 years, so would think he'd want to be a part of the success.

Best of luck to him though and i really do hope he's successful and enjoys it up there... he's a ripper bloke.

Bawden has left the Coaching Position at Echunga to coach Under 18s down at Sturt. Wonder if they have found anyone as of yet!

I believe birdwoods best recruit last year Rhys Parasiers will be continuing at the roosters next year not by choice but because his mrs has a vice like grip on his haggets!

Scott Friend hasn't gone anywhere yet - all rumours atm.
We would really love him to stay on at the Roosters for exactly the reasons Informer has mentioned above.

... R u talking about Dave Bradbrook?? Would be a real big pick up if so, nothing but gut busting runs from the Michael Voss of country footy. Well done

Was in at the Callington Hotel today and the publican said the club has announced a bloke called Shannon Mitchell as their senior coach. From all reports a very good appointment.

The thought of the 2 Parasiers Brothers opposed to each other will be worth the admission alone when the Roosters reunite their rivalry with Kersbrook next year.

Rumour is that Shayne Mitchell has secured the services of the current mail medalist from the BLG for a considerable amount of money and also I think they are mates. If my information is correct they met during a hair transplant treatment session. Quality footballer, be interesting to see how he goes in Hills country and at Callington. If anything just with these two guys Callington will be a more physical / hard at it side than the last several years

Will probably need another 14 - 15 like him to be competitive.

The thing that suprises me most about this is that Shane Mitchell has a mate! After all these years and severall clubs i think he may have found his fit

I didnt think Callington could go any lower but to appoint Mitchell as coach i think they have now hit rock bottom. This bloke has a great record in the hills didnt he coach Maccy to about 2nd bottom with alot more talent in the club than Callington. Also all the young small players in the comp look out he will try and hit you behind play (lucky he can not fight). My prediction now is that he wont last the season out.

I notice former TV player Luke Slattery finished 3rd in Ports b&f. A good effort considering he missed a few too. In my opinion would be a star if played in a better side. Probably the best player i have seen in country footy for some time apart for those central div players they are much better ;)

Refer to my post on page 255. I wont to take up too much space by agreeing totally with those who have had the Shane Mitchell experience. Homework is always a good thing to do before appointing a coach.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

Looks like another 'Impact Coach' has hit the Hills Country Div.

You mean like Adam Fisher who WON the league Best and Fairestfor Glenelg in 2009 in a side who finished TOP at the end of the minor round as opposed to second bottom. You mean blokes like that?
