However Jervois did have second thoughts over Ladhams and called a crisis meeting about there appointment. They got info that Ladhams brother cant play! just talk. and heard stories from Kaniva. Really they should have done there homework before the appointment not after. Onto Imperials now. Fielke did Coach two flags but should have won more with the teams he had . I know i am repeating myself but with the money Imps spent they should have more. people keep saying that there highest paid player was 500 a game, but they were paying quiet a lot of players hundreds a game. I can tell you that the highest paid player at the Bluds when they won four flags was 350 a game. so buy that theory Fielke failed . Not hard to finish top four in seven team comp when your team is located in the biggest town in the comp. sponsors players etc. Good luck to Fielke but maybe his next job he wont get as much of an armchair ride!

Mail Man, time to toughen up a bit mate. That's the problem when you jump the gun with news headlines befor it happens, people quickly forget you. Sorry pal, you'll get over it! ;)

Thanks Goldy would love some credit. Not saying bluds didnt recruit. They wouldnt have been successfull without them. they were spending approx . 30 large every year not a heap compared to mannum, meningie and even tailem during that era. But the reason they were successfull was because they had a group of recruits who were tight and wanted to play together, even though they were offered more elsewhere. That is why Imps are up high on the ladder now not because of super coach Fielke. That is also why Meningie were good during the era of Mansell , Martin, moller, Baggs, white. Because they were tight before they went there and wanted to succeed with each other. IT also makes travelling to training etc. easier if you can car pull. Tailem had the same thing when they had all the bay boys going up together. The trouble is when a couple leave they can all leave. I reckon even you Goldberg could have coached Imps to at least two flags with the list they have had over Fielkes era.

What are you Scratchen mate your balls or your head? coaching Gun footballers is a lot easier than coaching a bunch of >please don't use that term on here< which is what Tailem had this season. It is a seven team comp mate and imps jervois and ramblers have all won at least two flags during fielkes period.

MM have been plenty of sides in all comps that have had gun sides and have not won the flag. Not all gun footballers are easy to coach so my question was have you ever coached????. I doubt it as you wouldn't be posting what you have. As far as saying Tailem are a bunch of edited I take that very harshly lots of great people on and of the field like all clubs. I not sure of your clubs success over the years but I'm sure you would take 2 flags in the same period

I'm not sure pig_skin is a Tailem supporter Goldberg, so he would probably only know whats been posted on the Hills thread.

At least given whats been posted they will recruit a few for next season if whats been posted on the Hills thread is correct. Should be a bit more competitive as they try to rebuild. Jervois look to be going for an instant type of rebuild, will be interesting to see how they go. A bit of risk involved in the way they're going about things i reckon. I was personally surprised they didn't go with Tim Richards.

Not much news re Mypo or Meningie. Is Crossy coaching the Tigers again?

Scrathen i can guarantee i have done more in footy than you! As for Tailem i heard that your president was in tears at a crisis meeting due to a heap of young lads from your club considering going to Peak. So i hardly feel your club is looking great for next year. you may have good people at your club. President included . they just cant play footy. Austin will be at the Bears next year.

Footy goes in cycles, mail man. It wasn't that long ago (90's) that Tailem was winning premierships and Jervois were really struggling. Jervois have had a good era and now Tailem are struggling, but its not to say the roles have never been reversed. You indicate on your profile that you play for Kaniva, who i believe spent a heap last year to win a few games, but prior to that were winless for quite a few seasons.
