Prob the wrong way around, if more geezers from those divisions were on here talking up the issues or whatever the rest of the forumers might be more interested. Think youll find most cricket forums on safooty are dominated by Div 1/A grade cricketers, not sure why that is tho.

Good luck 2moro lads...Game On Moles!

Hopefully it doesnt rain 2moro and we get a full game in. If not then i demand a spare day every monday to cover for weather events, asteroids or people doing burnouts on the pitch.

We will be going in with a fairly young side, especially with one of our older geezers out. But i cant wait to get out there and spend 40 overs standing at slip waiting for something to happen.

bulls**t! you guys think this forum is boring? spare a thought for me in div 3, getting on here, reading "bloody boofhead" this, "westerrn XI outta div 1" that, "you're an AFL recruiting manager, pick the best player from your opposition in div 1" bla bla bla "NEK will make the big dance, Gorski will have a big year" yadda yadda yadda. boring for you? pfft...

i have no idea what you're talking about, and you guys don't care what i'm talking about. why should I stay on here? maybe we should rename this thing "SA Churches and Community Cricket Association 2010/2011 Div 1" and i'll not contribute. :D

anyways, tomorrow:

Div 3

Nek

Div 4
paralowie
enfield
fitzroy - go tommy if you're still down there
seaton

Div 1 & Div 2 - don't care, go shove it. :butthead: now, someone show me back to the fridge. :drinkers:

Hopefully the rain f*cks off so Div 1 ( ;) ) can get underway today. And hopefully we dont get the umpire we had last week, not George but the other fella. Played against him last year(in div4) :supz: =D> and he carried on like a pork chop at the slightest hint of an opportunity to carry on. I dont trust him to be a fair adjudacator tho to be fair i suppose he should get an opportunity. Would rather George umpire to be honest.

I feel your pain Typy, but you will have Magpies96 to keep you company this year. Also Junior who hasnt posted for a while will be in Div3 this year. Anyways me and Pidge talk up safooty to anyone at our club wholl listen so if you dribble on about div3 :-bd like we do bout div1 theyll more likely take an interest.

well typewriter, i do love a drunken rant, even if all you wrote was jibberish :P

Word on the street is Mr Miraculous is captain of Enfield magoos in Div3 today, in a side that will be a little under strength missing one of their strike bowlers Michael Belczacki, i anticipate Mr M to step up and take control :P

I would imagine however that Adel Luth will be too strong for Enfield.

Im backing in Fitzroy to knock off para vi$ta, plenty to like about the young kids running around down at the club, i think after a couple of years building and developing these kids will be ready this year to take that next step. Expect Todd Weidenbach and Matt Sanford to take charge with bat and ball and if Adam Spry gets a bowl i think he can be dangerous. Although they will be missing the devilishly good looks and charm and charisma and ability of auto with the bat.

NEK vs Methos will be an evenly fought game, obviously Craig Keil will be the main man for methos again, and be interesting to see who else is in that side. Stewart Logue can hit a ball and moves it a bit. NEK dont know much about their B grade..

Now that i have endulged your idea of talkin about div 3...

.. most of the posters on this forum are div 1 players or assoc with div1 sides, so like smasha said you cant expect them to discuss lower grades they dont know about or have little idea about. its unfortunate yes that you are one of the few (at the moment) from a lower grade that reads/posts on here, but it isn't else on heres fault!

Why dont you take control and start posting more about div 3 or 4 then? Enlighten people! Dont sit back waiting for a Div1 player to do it...

Score from todays game between NEK and Rose park in a rain reduced 30 over match

Div 1
Rose park batting first posted 119
NEK chased it down with an over or 2 left but was a tight tussle for most of the day.
Gorski made 40 odd , so not quite the 100 as predicted but still a good captains knock !
clarke the pick of the batsman for rose park scoring 30 odd

Div 3
and NEK b grade made a good start to the year beating Methos 138 to 90 odd
with Kinsman staring for Methos as per usual making 60
and Jim Rotas making a 50 in his first appearance as captain for the Knighters !
and Rick kapperer staring with the Ball taking 3 for 2

other scores guys ?

I would imagine however that Adel Luth will be too strong for Enfield.

The Enfield Div 3 captain got his stumps knocked out of the ground first ball today.

Enfield 8/101 (40 overs) Petronijevic 4 wickets and Ridley 3.
Adelaide Lutheran 2/102 with new captain Gav Clark topscoring with 47 and Lenny Cirillo back after 5 years making about 30 not out.

Our team was nowhere near as good as the team we had when we lost to Enfield's 3rd XI in the Div 4 Grand Final last year yet we still managed to easily defeat Enfield's 2nd XI team that appeared to be much weaker. Go figure :?

Our A-Grade easily defeated Ross Smith Tigers.

Paralowie A 164 d Enfield 158
(overtook the score with seven balls left, after scoring run a ball for the last ten overs)
Roos shared the wickets and runs around
Recruit Matty Ralph scored 40 odd not out, while Barnes had a great clutch innings scoring 29 not out, with a couple of sixes to help Paralowie start the season with a win

Paralowie B had a solid win to give the club a great start to the season

You bowled pretty well today Pidge...
Good win for Vista's A's and B's today, couple of 60's in the B's and a 71 in the A's, plus Timmsy took 5. Not sure who took the wickets in our B's

Now I'm just waiting for Auto to come on here giving me crap for my running between wickets and fielding today...

Considering i dropped 2 cathces and didnt get near another...and made sweet fa when a 20-30-40 prob woulda got us home ill keep my trap shut bored. Runouts happen bored but that fielding on the boundary (and we know your a gun fielder) couldnt have happened in a worse area. I actually thought with all the kids we had and captain boofhead out we played ok and def made more than the 50 we made in the GF. Think we may surprise a team or two this year.

2 draws in this round, one in div2 and another in DIV4. Believe our C grade drew with Rose Parks??? but during the game it was believed we won by a run until the books were re-counted. I can only imagine how Tommy K woulda be feeling when the books didnt add up. His short fuse woulda been tested.

...Cue DIV3 report Typo..............
