Without a doubt. Duncan is regarded as the greatest Power Forward in NBA history by many. And whilst by the time the Spurs won their first title it was Duncans team they wouldnt have won that first one without the admiral.

Spurs were unbelievably lucky tho to get 2 talented and loyal 7 footers..!!

Extremely lucky.

Robinson goes down injured for most of the season, Spurs finish near the bottom - win the lottery - take Duncan.

Made the franchise.

Duncan was a star but not sure about the greatest 4 man ever....Malone/Barkley/McHale etc come to mind....Certainly he is in that company, especially when it comes to Championships.

NBA Classics on One last night had Bernard King drop 60 against the Nets back in '84.

Players just seemed so smoooove back then.

Maybe it was the shorts and knee highs...

Anyone here checked out the NBA League Pass on nba.com?

Free trial up until November 1st so anyone wanting a stream of games tomorrow (and the rest) should check it out. Exceptional quality and you can watch replays of full games as well if you are a member.

I had a look on Saturday and watched my Bulls smash the Pacers in HD basically. I will probably go halves with a mate as you don't have to view it on the one computer. Obviously you can't both be logged in at the same time though.

$20US a month I believe but well worth it.

Interesting opening night.

Boston beat the new look Heat 88-80
(Miami too many turnovers, LeBron excellent 2nd half, Shaq good start at Boston and Rondo my MVP favourite for 2010/11)

Lakers scraped home over Houston 112-110
(Steve Blake hit the go ahead 3 with 18 seconds left, Kobe 27, Gasol 29 the stars for La and Brooks for Houston)

and apparently Portland easily accounted for Phoenix
You sunk my Scrabbleship
