Not good form if true.

Flinders Uni boys have been known to "let the halo Slip a bit" over the years....
There are some good competitors there, but there is also some "ordinaries"..
In saying that, the above reaction is a bit ordinary if true..!!!!

Gday mate. Nice to hear from you. Hope all is well.
Yes a lot of Sri Lankans and quite a few of them look to be able to play. THere is one left hander who can bat and bowl's Jayasuriya spin who we wthink is going to be excellent although he cant play this week. A few other Sri Lankans are decent although think they want to play with each other. Many have a great deal of potential.
Also a very good quick bowler who knows Stoker rocked up out of the blue last night and will start in the Bs but am comfortable in saying he will be in the A's in no time. Looked very good. See how he goes in the B's.
We'll be alright, only blokes we lost are yourself and Ozzy and have a few early injuries but got Jimmy Rankin back too so should be an interesting season. I am backing us in early and think we will do well. Few schoolboys in the 2's too (Chiller and his mate) who have potential as well.
Good luck for you for this week too, look forward to catching up some time and see how all is going in your ventures.

We gave AHOS a bit of a hiding on Saturday in the A3's. From my point of view it was simply a reflection of the difference in experience between the two sides. The AHOS lads looked quite handy with the ball, but as a general rule bowled too short on a deck that was a bit soft. They also gave us too many extras (wides was the top scorer with 32!) & our lads were patient enough to wear them down & post a good score. Then our lads bowled very full & straight & were rewarded with 6 bowled & 3 lbw's (one of which admittedly was an absolute stinker!), while the AHOS bats weren't patient enough.
Well down to our old boys Skrokers (6/23) and Big Al who took a hat trick.
The game was played in good spirits & I hope your lads do well for the rest of the year RW. If they learn quickly I'm sure they'll do alright. I reckon the best prospect with the ball was the Sri Lankan offie who bowled very accurately & gave them a good rip. Not sure any of the quicks are quite ready for A1 just yet but looked promising - as I said before they just need to bowl a bit fuller, particularly when the deck is offering them some assistance.

I don't know about Saturday at this stage. Brighton can take a fair bit of water during the week & still be a great track, but once it hits a critical point it can go from being-a-great-track to being-called-off-for-the-day pretty quickly. There isn't really an in-between.
I wasn't at training last night so don't know how it is progressing. If Thursday & Friday are reasonably clear we should be okay, but the forecast isn't looking good.
