That's what happens at Districts, Pay an initial $30 or $40, then $10 every game you play until you have payed off a total of $180 or whatever it was this season. Works well for the blokes who don't want to play every game or can't play every game

I like that format exept for a player playing when it suits him or when he thinks he can play.
You make a committment at the start of the year you honour that & follow through with it. that means if your subs are $220, you pay upfront or $50 the first game & $10 every round after that, if the "freeloading tight arse pricks" don't keep up, they don't play & if you continue to fall behind you are suspended until your up to date.
Blokes that are on good money per game should have it taken out of their payments.[/quote]

Thats what Two Wells do to paying players take some out each week until its paid off!

If you think that how you acted this year and what you did was acceptable then to quote your great self, shame, shame, shame  As for presentations I'm probably not the only one who turned a blind eye and I'm pretty sure the majority of the crowd wish they had ear plugs because it was a disgrace using a night of celebration to grandstand your own personal agenda. Feel sorry for the blokes who actually won awards because you would not have known it after your rant.

White Ants Newman are things that eat away at what your trying to build, why would i be eating away at what i was trying to build at the club??
Its people like you that don't want things to change, you are compfortable in your enviroment & if the club was in a predicament like you say, its because of people like you that don't want to do the things that clubs rely on to get ahead & ontop of things financially.
I acted in the most professional way as a coach should, by having the club at heart & doing everything in support of the club so that it goes forward not behind, i can't see how that can be a shame.
Presentation night was a winner as far as what i've been told, i believe the guilty was those who were affected ( by the speach ) not the ones who won awards, they were awarded in the perfect way, commended for their efforts, praised & encouraged.
The speach wasn't directed at any particular person, it was directed to the club as a whole to better itself in all areas its currently not.
You are one that has taken personnal offence to it because you are no doubt a guilty one.
I've always wanted whats best for the club & those that have been coached by me would know no different, the clubs & players that get ahead are the ones that do more than neccessary.... and keep doing it, not the ones that sit on the fence & look for someone else to blame for its failures.

Looks like NM and aceman by the length of the flemington strait on this one. newman lagging behind at the 600 metre mark and looking wonky on the knees and finding the going tough in the conditions. still at the 600 metre post though and straightening up for the run home to the finishing post with NM and aceman lengths in front and newman looking on shaky ground
is it alice

Alice, I wouldn't worry too much about the 'racing parlance" the footy world is full of those who sit back, do sfa but are critical of the work of others. It's a shame but it's a fact.

Not all clubs are well endowed with finances from sponsors, benificiaries or winnings of some kind.they rely on the hard work of people who give their heart and soul into their local club that they hold so close to their heart.subs are their key component of finance to run these clubs and the sooner that players understand that, and understand that the club is their only for them or that they are owed, and pay their way the sooner the clubs will benefit in a number of ways.unfortunately each club has their parasites that will live off others but will never raise their hand to help and still critise the hard work of others.
to some extent the clubs have no one else to blame because for to long they have put up with it,they have recruited players with high wages that 90%of the time is never spent in their club and bring and allow the wrong people into the club who dont understand their culture or reason that the clubs excist only so they can win games or field teams
clubs need to look at the people they bring in and say to themselves, what is this person going to bring to the club and how is he going to effect the rest of the club
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

MLFC is $160 which includes a Club Polo...As Polos are compulsory on game day majority of the lads paid half their subs before round 1 in order to get their shirt and finalised their other half before round 9. Worked well as I reckon nearly 95% of the lads paid in full last year.

Our fees will be staying the same next year. Given we now don't require new polos for next season I'm not sure how the committee will structure their payment plans but I know we always throw in some merchandise...we do need new jackets, Aceman we need to talk :D ;)

Last year there were two options

$200 - Standard player subs.
$300 - Sponsored players subs. (This included polo top for players + tickets to club events for the sponsors + extras I'm sure I'm forgetting)

In the end close to all 'A' grade players and some of the 'B' grade were sponsored.
