Not sure who either of you are or where youre getting your info from as Mitchell Park have only just finalised our committee today and are weeks away from selecting anyone as coach! Colin Watkins has put in his application and is a good chance to get re-appointed.
We do however have a new fitness coach who will be kicking things off on October the 13th.
He has been actively trying to recruit players from Cove and other SFL clubs telling them he has the Mitchell Park job.
Poor form really on two counts then if he doesnt have the job. 1st poor form recruiting from his old club where he is a life member. and 2nd telling them he has a job he hasn't
Just asking the question is all

Yeah, I don't think it is as clear cut as that. I think it might be a bit of a case of internal politics getting out of hand. Like every club Mitchell Park have different power brokers and people in control. I think one of these groups or factions might have jumped the gun and made an assumption.watchdog wrote:Sounds like this Anthony Farrugia bloke will be left a little red faced if the above is true considering he didnt get the job

Thanks mate.
To be honest with you I wouldn't have a clue.
Rumours are that there will be several Edwardstown players jumping on board but I have heard that every year I have been at the club.
I think if we can keep the core group that was playing at the end of the year and add maybe 5-10 A Grade footballers via recruitment and getting over injures, plus a very solid pre-season should see us being very competitive in Div 7.

personally i think its aboout trinity's turn after consecutive prelim final losses, but i rekon blackfriars could be pretty handy also after talking to a few blokes that played against them last year. houghton will probably improve after a competitive return to div 6 and kenilworth will be stronger again also. should be a cracker of a year next year i rekon!

I really don't know sorry mate. I wasn't on the selection committee and I don't know him from a bar of soap. I will find out for you.dee man wrote:morell wrote:zedman wrote:good luck morell..is wayne bringing any players with him?..does he have a son who rucks?

morell wrote:MPFC had a good first up session last night with our new fitness coach - Ken Dredge, a few new faces took the total up to 20 or so. Overall it was a really enthusiastic group and we are looking forward to next Wednesday.
Also of note was that the committee meeting has decided on Wayne Wild (not sure on spelling) to be our new coach for 2011. Wayne has a wealth of experience and should provide a much needed boost to our footy club. The details are still to be finalised but hopefully Wayne can come to Mitchell Park and develop a successful culture.
A big thankyou must go out to Colin Watkins who did the best he could in trying circumstance and he will always be welcome at Mitchell Park.

Could have something to do with it!! Did Corbett's old man coach the A grade? And if he did is he staying or going? If he is going how is the hunt for a new coach going? Can any demon supporters assist with these questions..
