If you're a Melbourne fan, never fear, by the looks :?

Unfortunate that we don't get to see much of a pretty reasonable Cairns roster in the opening rounds BUT well done again to One HD for taking on the free-to-air rights and giving the fans a number of options.

I hate the tigers with a passion so I will be only watching a few games to watch them lose. Good to see Sydney back. I am looking forward to seeing the Crocs do well this season.

C'mon the Giants...oh, yeah sorry.

Hopefully the move back to FTA can give the sport a boost. I remember the old days of getting 36ers games live, and late night replays of Giants v Magic etc.

Cant say I pay it too much attention these days. Need to stop living in the past :p

Interesting to see the NBL adopting the NBA-style key and 3 point line.

Woll 83 d Gold Coast 77. Woll import Gary Ervin snared 27 in his NBL debut.

Sydney stun the Melbourne Tigers 84-68. The Kings Julian Khazzouh set the benchmark with a stunning 24 point, 17 rebound game  . Melbourne looked completely over the place all night. Very early days, but look to be carrying too much height in that roster, with smaller teams looking to run around them.

Wasn't the greatest game but the Kings were impressive. They looked a more purposeful outfit than the Tigers did. I've got no idea why the Tigers went down the route they did by signing a million centres and then they still got beaten inside and on the boards by the Khazzouh & the Kings. It's only one game in but Khazzouh looks more polished after spending the past one and half seasons playing in Israel and Luke Cooper looks like he's got something about him too.

Kings back to earth suddenly with a 83-70 home loss to the NZ Breakers. McCullough 17, Khazzouh 16 for the Kings; Brasswell 16, and Abercrombie 13 points, plus 11 rebounds for the Breakers.

Deep in the third term, the Townsville Crocs leading the Cairns Taipans 52-45 in an entertaining struggle.

Crowd of about 8500 at the Kings game - that would have to be one of the biggest ever for any NBL game in Sydney wouldn't it  .

Seriously, I hope they can maintain attendances like that.

Sydney's crowds have always been a disgrace. For a team with a lot of recent success and in a city bordering on 4mill people they should be getting alot more

While One's coverage is an improvement on Fox Sport's, I'd wish their game and shot clocks weren't 1-2 seconds out, and I wish they kept the shot clock up all the time, not just for the last 10 seconds.
