I'd be surprised if he didn't get offered alot of money...

McGahey gone. Friend doubtful. Unless the Roosters spend big again they'll be lucky to make the 5 in Country Div.

Footy Warrior I'd say you have very little, if any, credible evidence to back that up. McGahey is obviously already on decent coin at birdwood, so it'd wanna be a truck load of money for him to walk out on the club he's the captain of, where one of his best mates is the coach and drive South East every week. but hey, i guess this is the forum for rumors and sh$t stirring.

Scottty Friend is a huge talent, and would be a loss for the roosters, especially as he's a junior at the club, so a zero point player. hopefully he won't turn his back on us, and end up staying with the club thats been his home for many years. we'll see. either way, birdwood is a lot bigger than 1 player and will be a force in country division no doubt.

certainly looking forward to the reestablishment of the birdwood v kersbrook battles!! i still remember getting my nose spread across my face behind the play in a night game... after kicking a few goals and telling my opponent about it. i guess i got what was coming to me.

Have Kangarilla appointed a coach yet? I've heard Gav Kuhl is a front runner.

If your talking about who I think your talking about he would have been 18 maybe 19 when he played in the B grade premiership so has been a few years since then. Good, hard working backman with a great left boot. Was fringe A's/B's this year and hopefully will continue to improve in 2011.

Heard that a Torrens Valley player has got the Pt District A Grade job for 2011 and another ex SANFL player from the same club as his assistant. Players to follow with him include McDowell (mail medal 2010), Gunning (Multiple mail medal winner), Smith, Burn Brothers, Sitters to name a few. Josh Hill to retire.

Something like this watchdog?

Following the Port District Football Club Inc. AGM held Thursday 7th October 2010, the club has announced that the newly appointed Senior Football coach is Rod Smitheram, with Assistant Coaches Mark Clayton and Matt Ashley

Hardly good preparation for going into Hills Central.

Was captain of Reynella at around the turn of the century. Inspirational and led by example. Also spent time at Blackwood I believe and has been interstate for a while.

Should be a good fit for Kangies.

Having been interstate for a few years, will Gav Kuhl be able to attact the players to Kangarilla next year, that they need to be competitive again?
Will Trent Thorpe play?
Interesting year ahead for the Blues...sink or swim at Senior level?

Is this confirmed? If so that really hurts TV in their campaign for success in Central. Any big names to recruits in Country, haven't heard many at all in Central, yet every other league has clubs announcing big recruits!

Smitheram & Clayton yes but don't expect Torrens Valley to lose Gunning, McDowell etc They'll still be a handy side.
