Unley really needs a proper timekeepers box as we timekeepers are pretty exposed to the freezing cold.

Personal opinion is that Sturt should bite the bullet & move everything to Mount Barker, a rapidly-thriving community just 15 minutes up the freeway. Lots of young families moving up there, therefore lots of kids too.

Yeah but they would need a ground fit for sanfl footy first.
I think its great news sturt are staying at unley.
Dont want any club to move from their traditional homes.

Sturt are staying at Unley ....and you are happy about that ? OMG !
That is NOT an oval it is a " common " as they call it these days.
Sturt should play maybe 3 or 4 games at Norwood Oval under lights as a home game. Always attract a good crowd there. Similar size ground. Usually play well there.

Get Unley back to an enclosed oval or get off it in my opinion. Like others I respect the history of Unley but right now it is a shit hole. Fix it or f..... off.

More than welcome to use Norwood for some night games, for a decent fee of course. They are not coming for nothing. Currently Unley not fit for footy but its time for the council to pull its head out of its ass and realise what benefits a footy club have on the community and get behind Sturt.

Yes Sturt need to get some Sturt friendly people on Council like the Bays did.
I hate Sturt but it is sad to see Unley like it is today compared to their glory days.

Sturt should and will stay at Unley which is their home and always has been. Great area, historic ground and averages more fans than most of the grounds.

Sturt, with clearly the second biggest supporter base in SA should stay at their 100+ year old ground.

If you don't like the oval don't come. Win/Win for all of us!

Added bonus of pubs near the ground that you might actually want to go into, less chance of having your car stolen and not having to drive through welfare ghettos to find the an oval in the middle of nowhere.

Sturt were going to be called Unley (lost in a vote early 20th century).

Great if Sturt can play night games at Adelaide.
Just make sure you play Norwood there. That way we dont have to go to that hole at Unley.
Would imagine Sturt would play either Norwood, Port, Centrals or Bays ...based on estimated crowds.
Norwood Sturt crowds are generally good so that would be my first pick.

another stupid class comment. Why bring up the old car stolen/welfare ghetto crap? and please point out the SANFL ovals in the middle of nowhere. Are you sure this isn't SDK or AdelaideHawk? AND if We don't go to your oval it's a LOSS/LOSS for you. cheer up.

I think he'd be interested to find out that the highest number of car thefts actually happen in Mile End. Not a bad suburb that one!

What percentage of the local ratepayers who own the common ever attend football matches or have any interest in them?
The whole state struggles to get 2.5% of the Adelaide population to an AFL match..

Not sure where we should go but we have to get out of Unley as council and residents hate us - even though we were there before all of them - so let's go.
