Danny has bowled some of the best spells I've seen in the PDCA over the years. It would be good to see him have one final crack at putting in a big effort.

Could it be that grade 1 is too hard for him and now freeling have been relegated to grade 2 , it might just be alot easier for him

Bluey didn't want to commit to a full season, he is going overseas during the year and wants to play with a couple of his mates. Travel had something to do with it aswell, he'll be missed and to answer your question, no, I don't think & he wouldn't think that grade 1 is too hard for him, he played his best innings' against the better bowling attacks last season.
His keeping was exceptional last season aswell, given the fact that we had 4 quality keepers in our A's last season and he got the nod to do it in the GF would back that statement.
We tried our best to keep him.

Thanks for that, learnt something today, you can start with 50 Cyber-dollars then for the season.

40 on smithfield to win and 10 on Brahma, do we get refunded if the weather gets a game called off

Round 1
Grade 1

Brahma Lodge vs One Tree Hill
Preview: Good hit out for round 1 with both teams missing a couple of players and having a few new faces from last year, will be a case of what team gel's together the quickest.
Predicted score: BL to bat first and hit 245 on the first day, OTH to fall short with 210. Lookout for sibbick and fantasia in the runs.
Salisbury West vs Rose & Crown
Grand Final rematch and should be a cracker. Both teams have picked up some experience in the off season and should be ripe to go. Westies to end up in front as they should be too strong as a unit.
Predicted score: SW 270 & 3/80 Rosies 195
lookout for Ozolins to do everything well and figallo to pick up a few wickets
Angle Vale vs Parafield Gardens
Preview: Haven't seen PG but it is a big step from 2 to 1 so ill pick AV to win in a close one.
Predicted score: AV 8/170 PG 165
Lookout for the Carmen boys in the wickets and runs
Smithfield vs Virginia
Have seen alot of both these teams and would rate this game as 50-50. Smithfield to kick off the 2010/11 season with a hard fought win.
Predicted score: Smithfield 220 Virginia 185
Lookout for Hannun in the runs and Natsias in the wickets and runs
Grade 2
One Tree Hill "B" vs Brahma Lodge "B"
Central United vs ATCO
Riverside vs Salisbury North
Craigmore vs Salisbury West "B"
Grade 3
ATCO "B" vs Smithfield "B"
Central United "B" vs Craigmore "B"
Parafield Gardens "B" vs Angle Vale "B"
Playford vs Eastern Park
Grade 4
Salisbury North "B" vs Two Wells
Para Teachers vs Rose & Crown "B"
Virginia "B" vs Salisbury West "C"

Just because a club asks you to play there doesn't mean you are under/overrated

I dont think he would find it too hard but he plays footy there so every reason to want to play cricket there.

There is a rumour floating that 2 Mcintyres are leaving Salisbury West ro join Eastern park with one joining around round 4 or 5. Big Loss and BIG gain if thats the case.

dj is definately going EP and will be skipper where as the other one isnt playing anywhere at this stage but rumour to EP could be true to play with his brother

Please let this be a warning to all, a bit of friendly banter is fine on here but deliberate trolling to instigate an argument will NOT be tolerated and you will recieve banning.
Good luck to all involved this season and let's keep this thread relative to cricket and the PDCA.

Interesting choice to play Grade 3 wouldn't you think manbitesdog ? Any light you can shed on this ? A lot of credibility could be lost by a move like this one after looking mates in the eye. But hey, each to their own and we'll wish him the best down there.

nope dont play at Craigmore, i did for two years though when it was CD rugby.

Im not paying out your bowling its fine, just Div1 opening bowler might be a bit much considering your slow medium at best. Thats not to say you wont be a good div1 bowler just not as an opener imho.
