So what? Kylie Minouge concerts are sold out as well, and nobody can work out why.

And the people will be going home early. Gee, old Liam Plunkett looked a good player ... NOT!!!! Haven't England got anyone who can bat?

Of Course they do, but he had to walk down the pitch and injure his ribs batting.

Yeah but he's not really English.

How was Nixon not taking singles when the score was 9/110 and Panesar at the other end? Is that the sign of a player with an inflated sense of his own ability or not? I just laughed so hard when he didn't take the single and then got out the next ball.

I think the frightening thing about England is they are an international team, and some of their players neither possess nor understand the basics of the game. Nixon's penchant for taking the ball in front of the stumps totally mystifies me. According to another poster on this forum it is an instruction from their coach Bob Woolmer. What hope have England got when their coach is teaching them the wrong skills? To my thinking, there is nothing to be gained whatsoever from taking the ball in front of the stumps.

Didn't go myself today but know how you boys feel as today's game was almost an exact replica of the corresponding game against the West Indies in 2001.

Correct ORD I was also at the Windies game when the Aussies chased 100-odd with none down. From memory they sent in Lehmann and Martyn to have a hit so we didn't even get to see Gilly!! Luckily that day it was warm so the scenery in the crowd kept us entertained.

Certainly feel for those of you who gave up your hard earned yesterday.

Poms plans for the World Cup coming together nicely.

1:Debut a 36 year old 'keeper who cant but,or shut up.
2: Debut a 34 year old opening bat who slogs his way to 20 odd and skies one.
3: Bring a young quick (Plunkett) on tour, not give him a game until the fourth month of the tour after witnessing "great form in the nets" from him.(pssst-he's bowling to English batsmen?)
4:Pick a batsman (Joyce) who could do with Phil Tufnel taking him for 'specialist' fielding skills sessions.
5:Completely bollock any chance you had of winning a game at the World Cup.

Boon predicts the Poms only win in the Carribean will be over some desperate 'groupies' in a dodgy bar mid tournament.

LMAO. Ah yes, England...the Carlton of One Day Cricket. At least they get to play against South Adelaide at the World Cup.
