stupid idea whom ever invented daylight savings...

nothing worse then having a baking hot day of 40 + and the sun is still up at 830pm or still day light and struggling to sleep at night as the house has not cooled down.

thank god QLD dont have daylight savings or tho the premier is trying to split the state to the northern QLD to have daylight savings and the southern to be normal.

at that time of day it's not the light that keeps the temperature up but the ambient air temperature. A 40 degree stinker day will usally create a horrible night regardless of whether the sun goes down at 7.30 or 8.30

Just about the stage of the year when the light is right for me to get up at a reasonably early time the politicians stuff it up again.
It would be more tolerable if SA started from zone time instead of a time based somewhere near Warrnambool in the first place!

but if its not daylight savings time there is one hour less of daylight and that means and extra hour for the house to cool down and might be able to get some sleep.

how does moving the clocks forward change the amount of daylight in a day???? :? all it does is shift the amount of daylight at the end of the day. If you can't handle the heat then go to bed later and get up later its not rocket science! or buy an air-conditioner......

instead of being 830pm, it would be 730pm when the sun goes down??????. thats logic mate. Hence 1 hour earlier 1 hour less time of daylight. And normal people that have jobs need sleep...you must not work then??????. And with the rediculos price of electricty these days its to expensive to run air cond all day and night. but you must be a dentist or doctor that can afford it ;)

Some people love it but after moving to WA, I realised you're not supposed to get up in the dark and feel like rubbish in the morning all year round, that crap is for winter. It's much easier to get going when there's already blue in the sky and the birds are chirping etc

With the sun going down over the Indian Ocean, there's still enough light at the end of the day at the height of summer. I cant fathom why people want baking sun for an extra hour, no wonder it got voted out. Forget the age old "hurr hurr you think the curtains will fade" bullshit.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

The easy way around it is to leave your clocks and watches as they were, then live your life 1 hour behind the rest of Australia.
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting

I hate it, I basically get one hour less sleep every night for 6 months as my body doesn't conform to some artificial clock system. :(

I'd live another 20 years longer if it wasn't for this ridiculous retarded artificial concept. :(

I love daylight savings.

I can work in my garden after work, sat & sun arvo drinking sessions last longer, its easier taking dogs for a walk, can exercise, stay at the beach longer.

They should make it two hours!!

I discovered yesterday that, counting those on appliances and electronic equipment, there are 10 clocks and 4 watches in my house.
Fortunately two of those on electronic equipment are self-resetting.
[I didn't count the computers in this, but did count 3 clock-radios scattered about.]

I'm having trouble adjusting to the reset - I'm tending to stay up till 1am clock time and wake at 8.30 now.
Life worked better when it was 12mn and 7.30am...

There is still 24 hours in a day and 6am is still 6am, is it not?
