Pretty happy with 428 after our pittaful middle order failed again. Yes I believe North needs to be looked at. Possibly looking at well Ferguson or Khawja to come in for one of them. We simply need players that are going to make runs.
So a good result in the end.
Good to get Shewag late yesterday, hes really dangerous when he gets going like that. Still at 2/110 the game is very evenly poised.

Yeah good effort from boys. Well done johnno he cops a lot of stick but i think by time he retires he will be one of australias greatest allrounders. I think hes good enough to average 30 with the bat and hes a proven wicket taker who with a bit of work could be so much better. Fergie needs to come in the middle order very flaky and god help us if watto has a form dip.

What a fantastic assault by the Indian top order last night. With the Aussies our assault finished as soon as Ponting was run out. This Indian batting lineup remains top notch - what a pity we don't get to see a genuine test series with the Indians as usual opting for a heap of meaningless one day matches.

Perhaps if they didn't charge 'a week's salary' to attend a test match they might actually get some people through the gates. Test match cricket rules.

Yeah give me test anyday. T20s are a hit and giggle and thats fine for ocassional games but dont destroy tests. Loved the way the Indians started and thankful that sehwag went late or they could be in front by tea!!
Shame about crowd. Out of 10 billion people you think they could get 50000 to a game. Tests are very expensive to attend in India so the authorities need to do spmething

Currently 2 for 145, Fairly slow going.
Dravid on 41 and Sharma on 14

Thank God Mitch got Sehwag last night otherwise we would of been screwed. He's easily India's most dangerous Batsman and is/was in a rich vein of form. Each innings we are going to have to fight bloody hard for to get his wicket because we will always be behind the game if he gets a start and makes a big score.

Coming in as a nightwatchman he's been very resilient. Maybe Bollinger and co should consider pitching the ball up to him and bringing in the fieldsman behind the wicket, instead of just banging it in time and time again.

Good nut from Dougie there. Love seeing those kinds of dismissals and the dumbfounded look on the batsmans face when his castle gets knocked over. :D
