Footy Warrior, Mark Clayton will more than likely retire but hasnt really been a superstar player for Tv in the last couple of years.

Deke Smith WAS a good player but has languished in the B grade this yr due to a hamstring injury so wont be a major loss

Josh Hill, obviously a noted goal kicker but against what opposition. I think he would of kicked 75% of his 150 goals against bottom 5 teams and is notorious for going missing in finals

I think gary hughes will cover these blokes next yr with his abundance of coin and will give some central teams something to think about. Having played both Central and country recently i believe TV will finish Top 5 next yr. Having 4-5 League players in the one team cant be underestimnated no matter how bad the bottom 3-4 players are!

Only time will tell and i for one cant wait, i think a few arrogant central division posters will be eating there words by the half way point of the season i cant see TV losing to Lobethal, Bridgewater, Ironbank, Hahndorf, Onkas and even Mt Lofty it makes for an even more interesting yr next yr!

You are very sure of yourself BOOKIE and I think you underestimate the quality of football being played in Central at the moment. I think T.V will be competitive but will not make the finals next year as they would be miles behind most sides you mentioned in their bottom 6-8 players. The quality of your worst 6-8 is what it comes down to in the end and T.V worst 6 would be very ordinary players in Central. You boys are in for a rude shock and remember money does not buy you culture and desire which you will require to win at this level. In Central you play 18 super competative, physically demanding games to make the finals not 5-6 as you boys have become used to. Bring on the Lions I say and see how good you are. :)

GH will also be limited on purchasing players under the new points system. Your worst players will determine how good you are, that's how strong Central Div is.

the sheer difference in the pace of the game between country and central will be the hardest to get used to for TV in my opinion, even if they do have the cattle on the park.

Surprised we haven't heard from Magpiemaster/Silky/Vaughan talking up their clubs 2011 undefeated season.

I think McDowell, Jacques and McDowell have played a little bit higher than any form of Hills Football! Let alone getting use to the pace of Central Div.

3 players. Bridgewater have as many ex league players as TV. Didn't help them much.

Gunning is a gun too, would dominate any league. Hughes will have to spend big. He can and he will.

I can't believe everyone is still talking about money with TV. It has nothing to do with it now. Its about points. Now I stand to be corrected on these figures but they can't be too far off.

TV Total = 12 points (they will not get 15)

McDowell = 2
Jacques = 2
Gunning = 2
Clayton (if he plays) = 2
Anyone who came last year who played div 5 or under = 1
Anyone who came last year who played over div 5 = 2

I think they would already be on at least 8 points, if not more. That is why they are throwing huge cash at Alex Kennedy from the Barossa. He played juniors there so is worth 0.

So at most they can pick up one league player. Perhaps one other recruit who has played div 5 or less. Or possibly none.

If someone knows the exact sums would be great to put up, as I am not certain on these. But what is certain is that Hughes spending ability will not amount to much under the points system, which is the whole point of it. The system works.

Why do TV only get 12 so if Birdwood return to central 2012 would they only get 12 i dont think so i think they would get the whole 15 when you look at their results the last few years.

If they are only as good as Bridgy, Lobethal and Birdwood then they shouldn't be coming up. Thats why, they're are supposedly better than those sides, which I personally would agree with.

Anyone who played 25 games or more prior to the 2009 season is a zero pointer!!!

How does that affect TV's points status???

Think you'll find TV had 8 players who made up the extra 14 points this year. Keep them all they all drop 1 point that would put them on 6 points without any recruits next year. Take off 2 more points if Clayton retires make that 4.

Heard Nunan is a certain starter for Mt Ronnie next season. Also heard Hughes is not coaching TV next year as had enough but will still be involved.
