Ponting every reason to be angry. In slo mo definately appears that Dhoni knocks stumps with gloves well before ball arrives. Why no referals in India? Couple of 50/50 decisions both ways

Gotta love the reverse swing, turns an average bowler into an unplayable freak!! Bet you our bowlers cant get it to go reverse. Its one part of our game we have got to get better at. Why dont we throw money at these ex players like wasim or waqar to coach us.

Well done watto superstar

Well done watto superstar

Troy Cooley was employed on the back of his coaching of the English side that one the ashes and it's ability to reverse swing.
I'd say he's taught our bowlers nothing.
Mitch Johnson the perfect example.
He has so many faults with his action and bowls garbage every 2nd spell.

Employing Waqar or Wasim doesn't mean we'll learn how to do it.
Remember we had Imran Khan playing for NSW in the mid 80s and as a nation we didn't pick up on the variations he was using, despite Steve Waugh, Geoff Lawson and Mike Whitney all being under his tutelage.

Same score as Watto if Sehwag didn't drop a sitter 2nd ball.

North would probably be on his way to a ton if the ball bounced a bees' dick higher !

Its very simple, McGrath was able to achieve reverse swing, he should be the bowling coach, while warne should be teaching our young spinners as well.

Nope, keep Warne away from them - he's half the problem we have so few good spinners! ManFreak could walk up to the crease and generate the pace and turn he did. You can't teach that, more importantly he can't teach it because to him it is natural.

I was just looking at the indian cricket team and I thought that we (Aus) were a bit dads army towards the end of our period of domination. But looking at india, although they are going really well and there batting is very good. This is there core batsmen at the moment:
- Tendulkar
- Dravid
- shewag
- Laxman

The youngsters they have at the moment are Raina and Gambier. Who are both fine players. But when the fab 4 eventually leave that may leave a hole for them.

Just an intersting thought.

Fair enought, but something needs to be done because I could front up to the crease and get more turn than some of our spinners.

No doubt Warne was a freak SMAC, but I feel over the years Australia didn't utilise Warneys cricket brain as much as we should've.
I realise certain "issues" stopped him from being captain of Australia which is a shame as most rate him as being a smart cricket brain.
Your suggestion is like saying Lillee should never be a bowling coach.
