I always have my birthday as a bit of a distraction (today) but I do start to feel the nerves come the Parade on Saturday, training down at Max Basheer Reserve then come Sunday morning, there are no nails left on the fingers mate ;)

How are you with nerves?

Firstly Happy Birthday big phella ... Tuesday night I was so nervous I found myself perched over the porcelain lol, Im a shocker for it.

I have no doubt a premiership is still the ultimate for you lads, I just wondered whether you still get by the nerves much after all that you've achieved.

LOL @ WHUFC, I was in that bar 2 weeks ago for the exact same reason as yourself mate

Dont get me wrong it certainly is, i guess the fact the i was a club official in 03, i got to see all the hard work through out the year as well as seeing how dissapointed and hurt the players were when losing a game.

One thing im certain of with all the Central players is that if we lose Sunday it wont be through a lack of want, effort or spirit merely just a case of the better team on the day won or certain things didnt go our way, i can never question the blokes commitment.

50 years ago to the day Al Faggotter played in the 1960 North Adelaide win, a week after he had played in I think, Myponga's win in the Southern League. He certainly played in a country premiership and SANFL premiership in the same year.

C'mon BC, know your club history! Sutherland, if the Dogs win, won't even be the first bloke from the Demons to do it. I'm pretty certain that Hawthorn premiership player Malcolm Hill also played in a Berri/Sturt double in the 60s.

I get extremely nervous (as I do in minor round games). I always feel a bit ill. We have a BBQ at my place (normally 20 to 50 people), we then walk over to the game. I'm sometimes too nervous to drink or eat anything pre-game. You never know, it could be the teams last GF, you'll see. Stating the obvious, I'd really like to win this one. Four in a row and beating a "new" opponent. After the back to back GF losses in the 90's, nerves were probably worse in 2000, because you thought, would we ever win one. But only marginally more nervous then.

yeah totally agree been a great effort by the Norwood FC this year when many including myseld thought they would struggle to make the 5 and looked spot on after round 4, speaks volumes of the playing group to come back from there.

Spelly, Has any team won the premiership from a 0-4 start to the season.

Darryl Wakelin will be presenting the Jack Oatey Medal and the Auskick Kids will once again present the Premiership Medallions to the winning side this year...

Understand that, but the question was "how many times has it happened"?

I still can never sleep the night before a GF CP. I always get way to nervous.

Thankfully buck show tomorrow so hopefully that will help past the time/calm the nerves/make me pass out + St Kilda fan.

HINT for Norwood fans firstly have a great day the SANFL GF is a "special" day to quote Mr Mcavenney.

SECONDLY. Dont go to the PREMIERS BAR unless you like hearing all the different CDFC chants adnauseum.

LOL Cheers mate .. Im actually quite glad the AFL Granny is on tomorrow so can get on the sauce and hopefully find myself distracted until Sunday morning.

Wouldn't say that I "like" hearing all the Doggies fanfare, but will be looking to catch up with some of your mob for a beer at some stage.

Perhaps they were surprised to see only three on the bench and umpires wearing white too ...

Aahh, the tired old 'world's most pasionate fans' cliche rears its head. And no Centrals supporter follows the Crows either...

Denial is still strong with some still obviously.

Just as an example of what to expect before the game at the premiers bar.

Arrogant call again. YAWN!!!!

Make 11 GFs in a row and even South fans would end up being confident WCP. Might want to try something else as calling us "arrogant" is water of a ducks back now seriously.

FACT . Norwood fans havent attended a GF to support their team in 11 years. And there fans asked us Centrals fans opinion on the day.

Honestly surprised the person acting offended is a South Fan. What has GF advice go to do with you blokes anyway WCP???
