Any names in particular that should be watched out for??

thats what i am asking... seems that on paper some of these guys have only lasted at a club for a year but would be good to know who you shouldnt even consider

That is the hardest decision for clubs each year I am sure. The cream usually rises to the top anyway.

Wouldn't that be a good thing to see Eagleton coach at the Valley. Good to see AFL players come back to the grass roots.

I heard him on 5aa the other day and he said he was keen to have a kick in the SANFL next year. He said he thought he could still play at that level for a bit longer. I doubt he'd come back to Valley to just coach. If he did come back, I revoke he'd play as well

I'm hearing that Eagleton is being actively chased by West Adelaide and this is from some mates of his. Guess we'll see

second hand information from a mate that is friends from one of nathan eagleton's brothers
seems the rumours about him coming back to coach happy valley may not be that far off - i hear he is coming back to adelaide and may look at coaching the vikings along with another person who is a former team mate and has coaching experience - dunno who this is - anyone know who this might be?

the valley heirachy had a meeting with the players this week to suss out their plans for 2011 - seems that they are worried some may jump ship after a not so happy year at the valley.

MF wouldn't think it would be someone who lives in Melbourne. Think it would be someone who was from South Australia went over and played in Melbourne and has returned home or has been delisted and a SANFL club has recruited them and they have finished up and want to stay in Adelaide. I Know Goodwood Saints have a guy who came from West Adelaide, Bulldogs who would have played with him and Shane Briss who was at West Adelaide but had some personal issue's not sure if he is still at Westies????. I can't think of anyone else .

OK so now with Morphett Vale joining the ranks of needing a new A grade coach we have 6 out of 15 clubs searching for a new A grade coach including 4 out of the top 6 clubs.

Who would be your pick?

Wonder how many parents of MV Under 18s will be unhappy with the dramas there and be looking for another club?

I think Hawthorn, Footscray, Fitzroy and Sturt have

That is if its the same Matt(hew) Dent.

He played at Sturt, then was drafted and played for 3 AFL clubs.

Returned to play for Sturt for a year or 2, then coached Edwardstown i think.

Most recently coached Tailem Bend in the RMFL, for a 5th finish, last and second last.

i hear matthew dent has applied for several of the SFL roles plus some from outside this league - anyone know what he is like?
think some clubs down near the beach are pretty keen

MF thats seems like a lot of clubs???? unless you are involed in all the clubs how do you know this???. I think you are way of the mark.

had no success at tailem bend but didn't really have the players either

I played under Dent at Tailem Bend. As far as coaches go and I have had a few he's one of the best. Very good communicator, very simple but affective game plan and would teach players how to play their position. Very good at motivating us before the game and at half time. At times would give us a spray when required but would do it as a team not as individual, but you would know if it was you the way he would word it. Didn't have any favourites and would spend time talking to all players and colts at the club. Yes as Grunteroo said we did struggle with Quality players but we had a young side and in the 2nd and 3rd year under Dent we had some fantastic wins against better sides

was with a couple of blokes on the weekend that have ties in 2 different clubs and they both have heard that Dent has applied there plus I am pretty sure he has applied at valley

Yes the club is very keen on having a c grade side for 2011, so if all goes to plan, the red and blue sunday As will be back
