The last I heard Birdwood were retaining most of their players if not all (A Grade that is), everyone seems committed to taking out the flag next year so they can fast track their way back into Central Div. I've only heard of one bloke who is one of Birdwood's better player who might be leaving but his name comes up every year. If they keep all their players and maybe get a couple handy recruits they should certainly go top 3 and push for the flag.

If Birdwood keep majority of their players they will win the flag you can already pencil in a birdwood vs echunga gf for next year

Don't Birdwood will have its own way as some may think. Isn't a Kersbrook 'B' grade premiership player in Birdwood's 'A' grade team? They'll need to be better than that.

Agreed that is only one player out of 21 though birdwood were a very strong club when last in country div & i personally think they will do well next year if they retain "most" of their players im happy to be proved wrong tho :)

I have aslo heard from the horses mouth that if he leaves it will be to mt lofty. Which is more than likely cause he doesnt want to go back and play div 2.
But could be a waste of 3 ponits in mt loftys view.

Is there any truth to the rumour Ryan McGahey is going elsewhere? I heard he has been offered a huge amount of coin to head South East.

Pete had an excellent 2nd half of the year when he moved down back. Became a great marking option down there and is a top bloke to have around the club.

Well he has become quite friendly with a number of lofty players and has gotten a job at one of their gyms. Was even in the rooms as the Lofty B's sung their song after the GF.

Agree with you there RF, not worth the 3 in my opinion.

i reckon Scott would flourish in a dominating team... he has real game breaking potential and will recieve less attention in a stronger team. Obviously don't want to lose him though...

McGahey gone. Friend doubtful. Unless the Roosters spend big again they'll be lucky to make the 5 in Country Div.

I can only repeat what I have already said, I have heard from someone within the footy club that everyone is on board (including Magoo, Krieg etc) except one (Friend I presume) who says he is going every year.

Are you going around again next year informer?

I continue to offer my services elsewhere, even offering up to $400 a game to let me play but alas Birdwood are the only one's who'll have me so i'll be running around for another year.
