Watched Sellar play both finals for the Bays - the Crows are the BIG winners in this one if it goes ahead.

Not a chance, Jacobs wants to go to Adelaide, Carlton will deal with Adelaide only and Carlton are terrible to deal with. Expect to be giving up a bit for Jacobs.

It has been said before, by John Reid i reckon, that Carlton & Collingwood are the 2 teams that are looking to get something for nothing (Fev deal to Collingwood recent example re both sides).

Yeah and John Reid always played scrupulously at trade time

And the Fev deal to Collingwood bad example. Dealing with Collingwood for anything is hard enough...

carlton won't let Jacobs slip to national or pre season draft for nothing and he will be traded to adelaide.
other clubs will not take the risk of drafting a player who has nominate he wants to return to SA besides port, they
will pass him if he does go thorugh the pre season or national draft.

If a player nominates for the draft he has to be prepared to go to any club who selects him. If he doesn't then he will be charged with tampering with the draft, fined and suspended. The Gold Coast scums will pick up anyone who they think can be of value - I dont reckon they have any decent ruckmen yet. Not sure who they had going around in the VFL.

Jacobs has the power to decline thier offer....why would a club pick up a player that they know wont want to be there??? That in itself is a cancer to a club!

A draft isn't an offer. You cant nominate for the draft and then decline the "offer" from the club/s that draft you until one comes around that you'll accept. If a player wants to play AFL he'll go anywhere, except Port. :)

Correct, he can set his own price tag in the PSD which would likely play in to the crows hands if they are willing to offer 1m over 3 years. If you enter the draft and are picked up by a club that you didnt want to go to you can decline being drafted but are then ineligible to be drafted for a further period, 2 years I think.

Jacobs will be at the crows! If all the crows offer is pick 50 then Carlton will need to take it otherwisetm they will get him for nothing! However as walker could be apart of the deal the crows will tread with caution because they wouldn't want to get Carlton offside and make it impossible to get Walker!

Now that is huge! Would think that makes Griffin only a chance at West Coast now!
