Agree, don't reckon they played their GF today. The Eagles did, but the Legs didn't.

The Legs were almost down and out, and I reckon having to discover something extra about themselves when they have just about lost it all puts them in a better position than if they had won by 10 goals.

I reckon Norwood will win

If (or when) the dog win on Sunday they just need to beat port and south the have beaten every team in the grand final. Port i would think are they only team to achieve this and Norwood just need to beat dogs and WWT? Spelly?

I reckon Central will make it 4-in-a-row, best effort for nigh on 50 years by any club...

Dogs by 61-70... it'll be a belting.

Personally i cant split the two sides and think this will be classic GF.

Commonsense would say Central witht the experience and extra week of should win BUT i have already seen where GF where that mean squat.

In the Div 2 ammos this year Phos Camden went straight through to the GF and met Eastern Park who played extra time in their prelim win on the day where games were won with 1 goal being kicked. Eastern Park ran over the top of Phos to win the GF.

Anything can happen.

Probably because there was a triple header yesterday, otherwise the 18's would have to have started at about 8 in the morning.

Injury concerns for Norwood over Fuller, Trotter and Rowe, the last two needing jabs to get through the game apparently.

Looking forward to this game, believe it or not

Really hopeful that the crowd is 25K +, would love to see 35K but unlikely IMO.

Hope to see many of you outside the 'Life Van' or in the Lakes Pub - look for the SAFOOTY Hat :D

Just one thing... do you think we can have a GF WITHOUT FLARES ???
(No, me either) LOL

Not sure that Norwood did play their 'Grand Final' today.
Under Bassett I am confident that they will be very composed in the leadup. We need to get off to a flyer to win this one. Should be a great contest with two very worthy combatants.

Agree Bulldogproud2, after the game siren euphoria, Bass got the entire squad together on the field and reminded them of the ultimate goal, then asked them to respond to the supporters at the southern end but not over the top, then Bass personally went to the boundry line and reminded the faithfull of the ultimate goal and that we need to reign it in for next week.

Be very assured The Legs will come to play next week as has been the case vs the legend team of the decade "doggies" over the past 2 years or so.

Let's all get down there and enjoy the great contest

Cheers,

Im hoping Bassett and co do not underestimate CD this week
NW were prepared for a good finals team GL, but not for the CD /EG games...

Without a shadow of doubt if NW can eliminate thier shoddy skill levels of the last 2 finals, and cause less turnovers of thier own accord they will prob win this

NW can make errors and still get over the line against 8 SANFL clubs
Guess which 1 team beats them

18 points seperated the teams last time
Errors and unfavourable umpiring decisions most of the day killed NW that game

This game is dead set 51/49

Can Norwood win? Are they spent after playing in 3 finals already and after yesterday come back against the Eagles or are they match hardened? Or are Centrals cherry ripe for another success or are they underdone by only just playing the second semi-final and having another week off , What do we all think?

Mal, I would agree that errors hurt Norwood in the Second-Semi (as did Buckets). However, I don't think you can blame the umpiring. I remember you stating that Central received 12 frees that they did not deserve during that match. However, we only received 12 frees for the entire match (well below what Norwood received). Surely there was AT LEAST one free kick in the match that was paid correctly to Central by the umpires?? ;)

Agreed, Norwood got a pretty good run in the third quarter which got them back in the game. Excluding the deliberate out of bounds.
The commentators (for what it's worth) also disagreed with MALs version of the third quarter versus the Eagles. Believeing Norwood got a couple of goals from "soft" frees which started their run. I didn't see the first three quarters, listened on the radio only watched the final quarter. All history now. 50/50 contest coming up, hopefully the umpires have no impact.

I don't think they will and I don't think they did in the 2nd Semi or yesterday either .. Every week teams will cop a couple of dubious ones but that's to be expected, lol, surely all of us have seen enough footy to know this will always be the case.

Anyone who watched the 2nd Semi couldn't honestly say they didn't see one team perform better than the other, and that is why Central won, pure and simple.
