Was pretty sure he couldnt play B grade due to work, so would have thought that the demands at Div 5 would suit him better.

BG was used as the fix it man this year, some positions worked some didnt. I thought he did his best work down back. Due to injuries/form he had to be used elsewhere to suit the TEAM plan.

Worth all the $1000 a game in my opinion.

Wouldnt this be considered a form of payment?

Yes but it's only given to the best player on the day - it's performance based, so only he who performs gets the cash.

It's not handed out to everyone willy nilly...

yes it is eddie. noone at our club would say it isn't. difference is that it doesn't attract players to our club. there is no guarantee for a player to get anything at BOS it all depends on performance or doing a specific job during the day. then players tend to share it with their mates on the sponsors bar anyway.
we've only done it that way for the last two years before that there was no cash just various vouchers from sponsors.

Oh yes we forgot about "the almighty BL $$" they are called Brahma Bucks or Tiger Dollars at the club which most clubs would have similar to use as incentives for there A graders and for BOG awards I would have thought.

so your telling us your club didnt spend copius amout of $$$$ this season for very little return???

Incorret, we didn't pay any players this year either or the year before for that matter. The club learn't the hard way after 2008. Think you'll find that most clubs in div 5 this year didn't pay players.

Also, talking about paying players. West Adelaide Soccer club. Their starting 11 get something like $500 a game, even their reserves get paid aswell.

and they were relegated from the middle division to the bottom division

All clubs Pay players in some form...... some admit it, some hide it and its done in various methods weather it be weekly contracts, Club bucks or the like or via Best Player awards for vouchers or Cash every club just allocates its funds differently.
