Well it is harlldy a secret that Archard is going home - there was an article in the "tiser a few weeks back with Healy pleading with him to stay.

As for Alleway going to West - Collins did ring him directly mid season to try and a lure him to Richmond. Hopefully West won't be too upset when people from North start directly ringing West players without an official approach to their club? Ferguson would a be a good fit at CHB now White has gone!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

Hearing there might be a Magarey Medalist coming back to the SANFL and could be running around with the Dogs in 2011

Bamford said in the messenger this week that they are talking to Cloke who also has offers from other clubs, did not say who though.

Glenelg are definately chasing him, but i doubt he will go there. If he plays in the SANFL he will play for the Magpies, but i reckon he is probably 50/50 to head back to Melbourne

So North asked for permission to talk to Dean Howard before having any contact with him?

One big difference. Dean Howard had retired and was no longer on West Adelaide's list as a player.

Can you elaborate?

As for Warren, well it wouldn't be an offseason without a higher profile South player turning up elsewhere would it? I'd still be surprised if this happened though.

He would have to have been on the list to attract the $20,000 clearance fee wouldn't he?

He was probably on the Inactive list so that he would still attract a clearance fee.

I might be wrong, but I thought that he played in the country after he left West in 2005.

On reflection he's not the best example of what I was looking for, I was just trying to make the point that every club would, I'd suggest, make contact with opposition players before seeking club permission. (And I'm not conceding that's what Collins did, I don't know if that's true or not.)

He is coming back to play for his original WAFL club Perth. He's verbally agreed to terms and is expected to sign a two year contract.
