Consider that Enfield C grade beat us in the finals last year and won the division and now we end up a division higher and with most likely not as strong side. Hope im wrong but just my opinion.

Para Vi$ta down to 2 teams, Enfield down to 3 teams...

Wonder where Rose Park will play their home games? Any news?

I believe they will be playing in the Parklands. Do you know something Auto???

I am not sure where Western XI will be playing i believe they have lost the ground at westlakes.

For those who are interested, there is a SAMCA meeting tonight at Adel Oval that Tige and I are attending, so we should know a bit more about the SAMCA draw for the upcoming season. I think the program for the 20/20 inter-Association knockout will be known as well.

Will advise once more info comes to light.

As for Hutchy, my top 3 thoughts provoked from his posts are ;

1) Who is this tool?
2) Why are there so many gaps in the special school education program? - and;
3) Who's oxygen allocation is this dude thieving from someone far more deserving of it than he?

Evening chaps! 8)

A few things came out of the SAMCA delegate's meeting tonight that I can share with you.

Four representatives from C&CCA attended the meeting ; Ian Amey (President), Tom Kennison (Exec Member), Tommy K's 2L FUIC and yours truly.. ;)

The draw for the first knockout round in the Senior division of the SAMCA Cup occurred, with C&CCA drawing PDCA, with C&CCA as the host Association. It was announced that this match would be played on 13/2/11. This was not overly pleasing for our Association, as we are looking to get at least one SAMCA match in before the National Championships. As a result, negotiations are underway between ourselves and PDCA to play this match at a turf wicket venue on 12/12/10. We have verbally agreed in principle and I'm confident that the two Associations will successfully work together to make this happen. Special thanks to PDCA Exec Member, Peter Clarkson, for agreeing to try and re-negotiate the date of our first round match. =D>

The draw for the U21's was not done on the night, but both C&CCA and PDCA are extremely keen to align the first round of the U21's with the Senior match within the same sporting complex. We have a venue in mind and we will begin work immediately to try and secure these facilities to accommodate this arrangement. Whereas the Senior SAMCA format is a knockout, the U21's will be a Round Robin format, ensuring the U21's of 3 matches, so it's vitally important for the young lads of our comp to support our re-entry into CUSA/SAMCA competition. 8)

C&CCA also drew PDCA in the T20 Club slap-fest, with this match to occur on 28/11/10 between the winning Clubs from C&CCA and PDCA. As a matter of courtesy, and in light of our negotiations around the SAMCA match, we have agreed in principle to allow PDCA to host this match. The winner of this match and the winner of ATCA vs ASCA will play off at Adelaide Oval on 6/2/11. The winner of this match then plays off in the Metro vs Country Final, also to be played at Adelaide Oval (I didn't catch the date).

There were a few other things that came out of the meeting, but for inter-Association purposes, these are the most relevant points decided on the night.

Look forward to watching Para Vista vs Salisbury West in the T20 game! Would imagine being such a short bash and crash version of the game it will be closer than most people might expect.

At least it gives the top side from both comps a chance to see where other clubs/comps are it in terms of structure, ability etc...

The 2 T20 games should be played as a double header with cheerleaders in between and a Mr Whippy's van and if you hit the van on the full you get a double choc ice cream. Tommy K could have a FUIC truck to aim for.

And just evolving my concept further, the team that finishes top should get to host the 2 T20 games at the start of the year.....cept this year it should be at Fitzies. Way better atmosphere with 2 games/4 sides at one ground. Better still lets hire a ground with lights and play a double header twilight/night game...Geez i should charge for coming up with these ideas.
