A bit !?!?!?!?!

It was an absolute disgrace.....more likely to incite trouble than resolve it.......

I saw about four individuals ejected, none of which were necessary......

But did anyone find the security at the match a bit oppressive??? They threw one well known CDFC supporter out for throwing a streamer when he was waving a flag at the time. I saw about half a dozen supporters (both CD and NW) getting thrown out during the match.

I caught the train and at Mawson Interchange, when I got off, they had a sniffer dog checking everyone there...the same dog and handlers were at the match. Also, how many undercover coppers were there at the match??? (I can spot them a mile off FYI.)

Whats the issue if you have nothing to hide and behave yourself?

It had a cold nose ;)

Who were those people wearing Red , White and Blue, cheering the Centrals goals and chanting U-DOGS and Ceeeeeentrals then?

Well, there's a retort for the ages. Take that Jim. Lol.

I must say I agree that it is just a little boring. Boring there's a final this weekend without the dogs. I have to wait a whole fortnight to see them again. Guess I'll have to watch a grand final on TV. Just have to pick which of 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008 or 2009 I want to start with.

Ive sat on the Jury and watched the game on tape
These are my conclusions on the player errors and Umpiring errors

CD
ERRORS PER QTR
3/7/3/5
TOTAL 18

NW
ERRORS PER QTR
9/6/7/7
TOTAL 29

UMPIRES PER QTR AND TEAM FAVOURED
CD 3/3/2/4
NW 0/0/2/3
CD TOTAL 12
NW TOTAL 5

ERROR SUMMARY
CD made fewer mistakes overall and that was the deciding factor, made the more of ther forward entries
NW had 11 errors in the forward line and were too often inept and the decision making was often poor
UMPIRES gave CD an advantage particularly in the first 3 qtrs
NW got some soft 25m penalties in the last qtr,
Worst decision of the day was the JONAS holding the ball late in the game, cost CD a shot at goal

On what I saw if the 2 sides meet in the GF , NW still have a hope of a flag
Belief will play a factor, fitness may be a factor
Abilty wise, not much between the 2 teams

Please note I have made the conclusions off the TV set

However I was hugely dissappointed by the small group of Norwood supporters undercover on the outer chanting homophobic and derogatory chants throughout the game. Open your eyes there are kids all around is this what you want them to hear? Also the angry Norwood fans after the game swearing and yelling abuse you are a discrace to yourselves, your team and your community.

yep - as a norwood fan i wasn't overly impressed by their chants - but certainly the abuse post game was a two way street.
why supporters of a winning team feel that swearing other supporters is their right is beyond me. this is part of the reason certain supporters are despised as some clubs seem to have a predilection for this (eg collingwood and port during the 80's/90's).

having watched the game, norwood need to clean up their decision making heading in, and in the forward 50. Can think of several times that norwood at the ball at the 50 then headed very wide to a contest rather than one at the goalsquare. This, with rowe's and donohue's brainfades within three minutes in the last cost the chance of putting real pressure upon central.

central, though, were cleaner in the first quarter and clearly settled quicker; overall deserved to win but the margin in the end was only three goals - which i believe is about the difference it deserved to be. Havelberg had a purple patch on mcguinness who did some very useful things as well though.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

I noticed with concern the rushed movement into our forward line - particularly the number of turnovers that were caused.
Heavy pressure in the second and third terms certainly prevented us from setting up particularly clear movement into the forward line, except for Havelberg's burst.

Off the TV or off your face? Are you seriously trying to pass this off as useful data?

Centrals took total control in the first quarter and cruised home from there. Norwood showed a lot a heart to keep trying to fight back, but it never looked likely that I would have to cancel my plans for 26/9. Of course it is possible Norwood could reverse the result next time, if they get there, but not probable.

I fell like I have mauled by a lamb with no teeth.

The snobbery is a bit disturbing though. I heard school age children making anti-Elizabeth comments of the same class and kind as this. I wonder where they learnt that?

Mal, you state that Central received 12 free kicks from umpires that they should not have received. Heck, they only received 12 frees for the whole match!! Please take one red eye off and one blue eye off and replace them with normal lenses. ;)

Accepts 25 metre penalty. After all, the umpires were handing them out like lollies in the last quarter against us so I think we can continue the trend and have another awarded. ;)
