Since when has Grennock had a major highway run through it?? Must have been before I was born.

Correct me if I am wrong but I recollect as a kid when i visited there that the Sturt Highway used to come through Sheoak Log, Daveyston and Greenock before heading on to Truro etc. The highway now bypasses it to the south

up to '74/75 when i was travelling to the riverland weekly the highway did go that way and thru nuri. [ stop at the bakery was a must ]. not sure when the bypass happened
still haven't worked out how to get a photo up, so next please

I can remember that as well when my Uncle and his family were living in Nuri.
