maybe he was trained to sniff out all those flares that somehow despite being banned from the venue still manage to make their way into the stadium year after year :?

no flares today.

There's a chance that dog will get barbecued in a fortnight ;)

Just got back from the post game celebrations.

Centrals won it in the clearances and owe the win to our fabulous ruckmen Buckets McKenzie and Pumpa Sutherland - their dominance was very telling particularly in the first and final quarters when the game was there to be won.

I could not understand why Norwood kept kicking sideways, even in the last quarter when only attack would avoid the loss! It reminded me of the AFL.

Also Centrals pressure and tackling was irresistable resulting in many Norwood clangers.

However Norwood will learn from their mistakes today and if they make the GF I'm sure they'll improve.

they very rarely pay deliberate in the sanfl, infact i've seen more deliberately rushed points paid this year than deliberately out of bounds frees paid

I must say something about the Norwood fans today. They clearly outnumbered and were more vocal than the doggies fans, and gave their team great support.

However I was hugely dissappointed by the small group of Norwood supporters undercover on the outer chanting homophobic and derogatory chants throughout the game. Open your eyes there are kids all around is this what you want them to hear? Also the angry Norwood fans after the game swearing and yelling abuse you are a discrace to yourselves, your team and your community.

That depends Sam. I think I remember reading somewhere that Bowesy is of English stock. If he is the guy you are referring to that is.
P.S. My apologies to Bowes if that statement is incorrect.

Lol. This thread just lost 1/3 of it's posts.

Magnificent game, 11 second semi finals wins is just a breathtaking achievement.

Sadly was ill today, so couldn't get to the game. Dragged myself to the lounge to watch the game but missed the first quarter.

Dogs just looked too tough and too disciplined for the legs for most of what I saw. Buckets was all over the ruck duel and Sutherland has been a great pickup. Was pleased to see Havelberg play well, and in 10 minutes he tore McGuinness apart. I personally think McGuinness isn't the match up for Havelberg.

For Norwood to win a rematch I think they need to get some output from rucks and key forwards. Their big men were destroyed on the whole. Once the dogs got a break, they just did what they had to do. And even though the final margin wasn't even the 1/4 time score I felt like the dogs could have put more on the board if they needed to.
