Didnt play well, but from what I saw Cicca was the biggest sniper with his blind hit on Carr

Carr got reported for a hit .Carr gave away a free in the first seconds of the game .
Carr is a sniper .Cica can back up whatever he does with hard at the the ball play
Can Carr?
Will Carr be there next year ?I think not.

Thanks Glenelg for completely rooting up my last bet for the year.

Commiserations to the Tigers, growing up with one Glenelg nut and one Glenelg half-nut for brothers has left me with a soft spot for them. It would be hard on anyone the way the cards have fallen for the Bays these past two or three years. I am a bit of a Mickan fan also, so I hope they can hold it together under the ramifications of what happened today.

And another quirky stat is back in 1999, we beat every team bar one in the minor round, but defeated them in the finals. This year in the minor round, we beat every team bar one. And like 1999, we defeated Glenelg in the finals. And just like 1999, we face Norwood in the Preliminary.

Congrats to the Eagles who, it must be said, wanted it more, were harder at the ball and the contests, and frankly were a class above the Bays.

Good luck to you and yours from here on in.

Absolutely p**s poor from Glenelg today. To go 4.3 to 0.0 up and basically put the cue in the rack was a shocker. I'm not just kicking them while they're done, just bitterly disappointed as I was really confident the Tigers would go top this season.

The Eagles deserve a lot of credit for going in as underdogs and smashing a gutless Sturt and then coming out and backing it up with a comfortable win over Glenelg. I feel Sturt and Glenelg both just gave up and wanted the season to end.

It was all too hard for both clubs come September.

Poor.

P**s poor as I said.

I hope that Torrens and Norwood are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than what I've given them credit for as at the moment we're all just counting down the days to a 30-40 point Central GF win again.

Sheesh  If you READ my post carefully the "cheap shot" you speak of is aimed (jokingly, did you note the ;)?) at the ABC...for not giving us a little bit of the human/emotional side of SANFL finals. The only thing I said about the young kid was that he was sad last year, and he was probably sad today..I love it when they show emotional faces in the crowd, like those Dogs supporters exhaling expletives to umps in the second game. Should be more of it!

Congrats to the Eagles for keeping Glenelg's finals losing streak intact, and making my day at the same time :D I saw this coming after our demolition last week.

Eagles v Legs next week should be a cracker!

Pesudo

I rate highly your contributions to this site, and can't really be to hard on the bays.

I can be hard however on a 119 point contributor to dream finals who turns up in a glenelg beanie & scarfe speaking with a lisp. chad did not respond at half time with a dream final and 119 point jibe.

Also a gutter level sniper who gave away a free before the first bounce and many more contests without earning possession of a hard ball make me wonder. It is hard when the coaches wife is sitting in the seat immediately in front of you (when he has previously has coached your club, and she denies that sniper carr is following coaches instructions)

I dont know who won in cairns with rain delays but Fitzy is looking for players & teams that dont lose 6-0, 6-2, 7-5 in successive years. (that is straight sets for non tennis fans)

Will be a challenge next week with our injuries given we played the last quarter with 17 on the bench.

GO YOU MIGHTY EAGLES

Fantastically gutsy win today Eagles - kicking 13 goals to 3 after the 20 minute mark in the first quarter. Whilst we were kicking against a strong breeze in the first quarter, we were on the ropes early on so to fight our way back into the game and eventually turn it around so convincingly was great to see.

It looks like we will most likely have to replace Treeby, Lewis, Hentschel and possibly Redden next week so it will be even tougher against Norwood, but if we can maintain our good form and continue to show the determination and courage we have over the past two weeks, anything is possible.

Hopefully he is ok. Looked like concussion.

Interesting watching the trainers put three stretchers together to get him off. He is a big man.

I think Hentschel might be ok, probably felt the back a little so came off not to do any damage to it. Poses the same question again, will Salter and Broadbent be available or not?

Cheers aerie

Never like to hear of a player getting stretchered no matter which team but especially in a neckbrace. Hopefully was just overcautious then.
