I voted no - there are plenty of teams who would be pleased to be top 2 for 3 years running. Sure, they haven't got the chocolates yet but in that same time frame other clubs have struggled along. You could potentially argue that if Mickan deserves to go, so too did Fuller deserve to be moved along but he was backed in by the club.

First think what he has done at glenleg he has turn a side which was struggling into a competitve unit in the first two years and manage to make the semi final in the second year after a 1-6 start and the last three years have been one of the best sides in the competiton. Secondly, do you think there is a better person out there than Mark Mickan if not he deserves to keep his job. Some of the best coaches don't have a flash record.

Voted no.

Bays need winners.

Should this go on for another 10 years...?

Thanks Mark but Bye Bye.

Why not buy the Centrals Coach..?

Any price.

How much do you Glenelgers want to win..?

I can't see what the problem is.

You want to win.

Buy the BEST.

Ah no , the BEST is Leigh Matthews , so it will cost quite a bit more then Roy ..... but maybe after losing this week , the Tiggers will explode with frustration , starting at the top !

I thought the lead up to the Round 23 match spoke volumes about the Glenelg Footy Club and Central Footy Club. On one hand you had Laird saying it was a must win. A week off is cruicial etc. etc. On the other hand you had Mickan saying before the game that top spot wasn't crucial and Glenelg wouldn't have a problem if they needed to enter the finals from 2nd spot.

Fast forward two weeks later and Glenelg are out of season 2010 before Central have even started their finals campaign.

That is the only time I've thought Mickan's approach has been poor and I believe now that almost defeatist attitude before Round 23 has had an impact on another bad finals performance.

That hits the mark pretty well there Aerie. Hindsight tells us it all became unravelled. Maybe things would have turned out differently had he shown a different attitude in that last game? Hindsight can't answer that, we can only comment on what has happened.
I like Mickan though, and I think the Bays should remember that they were a basket case before he came along, now many are blaming him because they haven't done better.

It's all about the mind. You have to be positive really. If the Eagles players listened to the SAFooty community and believed it, we would have been out of the race in the first quarter last week.

well either mickan cant take the group further and we make wholesale changes or the coach goes.
