You couldn't of scripted that finish.

Feel for Mitchy though.... From what i've heard the Strath boys showed some great sportsmanship after the game aswell.

Listened to the game from overseas, great coverage by the ABC. Yeah gotta feel for Mitchy. What happened to my mate, the last 5 mins WOW, dodgy hammy still? Was waiting to hear his name all day, was starting to think he wasn't out there.

Well done to Strath on their win,a great A grade Grand Final.Willunga were terrific and nearly had it but Strath were the best team all year so im glad they won it.

The B grade Grand Final was a bit lopped sided but Willunga had a cracker team out there and they played great footy.Well done to Jags and his players.
If the only reason you play is for a beer with your mates after the game, your playing for the wrong reasons !!

Don't know the guy personally , but to have that opportunity would be great and to knock him would be easy, only small minded people would do so, well done strath on win and to portlock and willinga good season hope others look at this and learn and hope they can be in that situation one day themselves
Be the ball and just tapp it in.....

Yeh been carrying it for awhile but to leave him there all day, bar the last 6 mins is a crap. Easy to say that when your not there and not Pilmore in possibly one of the best GSFL GF's of all time. Carnaz is a big game player & those conditions would have suited him big time. No doubt will catch up with them for a beer during the week.

Undoubtedbly the best GF in S.A. this year. You could'nt script a GF any better. Was the shot in front, or was their any angle? Easy to bag the man, but I'm sure he has some Premiership Medals somewhere 8)

totally gotta feel for Mitch, had it been slotted no doubt he would have made it all about the team instead of covering himself in glory, but well done to Strath who have been the best side all year

Wasnt an easy shot and was in the pocket where all the Willunga supporters were,so not just pressure of the situation but also in front of his supporters. Not a huge fan of Portlock but felt for him,is a very good player and i think if he had that shot 10 times would probably kick it 7 times.Pressure can do funny things to a person i guess. Was a great game and a fitting end as Strath clearly the best side all year, well done to Peter Simmons and his boys.Willunga, gee you can never rite them of,i thought they were dead and buried at round 18 but they have enourmous character and that will to win. Will be interesting to see what happens next season for the Demons.

I was at the game, saw it but still dont believe it. That was a day to remember. 10 kegs, 500 mullet burgers and a game decided after the final siren. Have a look at this link to listen to radio hightlights http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/201 ... 015007.htm (sensational call by the boys)! A full version of the day on radio is been sent to us, some of the Strath boys may want a copy?

Was a huge game, Strath lucky to get away with it in the end. Willunga were better all day, the lad at the end who missed wasn't alone as other players missed goals before him.
B grade Willunga outfit would easily account for some of the lower finishing A grade sides in GSFL and SFL.
Two great clubs who have dominated the comp for last 10 years without paying out big $$ for recruits. All the other teams should look at their models and learn from them.
Well done to Victor with two premierships in the young brigade must hold them in good stead for the future, would've been an early version of schoolies!
Hopefully they can turn them into good senior footballers as other clubs have had strong juniors in the past but didn't devlope them or just not good enough to step up to A grade footy.
