I think Tasmans have a lot more of a chance than anyone is giving them credit for.

As nice as it would be to see Calvin run through one of the playmakers early, I don't think they even need to do it.

Very good side, and your Peckers are known not just for winning flags, but also crumbling at the big game. 8)

Bantamweight I just have to ask. What is with your avatar? Does it have some special meaning? It just looks so anglo saxon and you being such a nunga it just looks odd. I would have thought you would have something more like a picure of Yingarna or or maybe just a picture of graham.

Was it really a big one? Or is that basically saying that Sammy was stiff last time around?

Ravendale packed out last night, was always going to be a tough decision at the selection table. My understanding is
Mike Orbons will play in the U/17 Grand Final and Paul Franklin couldnt be considered.
Tyler Franklin will play and Craig Reinke is in.
Fantastic to see we can finally line up our strongest side for the year.

Not a lot of talk considering the Grandies are tomorrow... :?

Those who haven't... Who's going to win?

What are we looking forward to tomorrow?

Thinking we'll see some close one's? Or some blow outs?

The Peckers have a few stars who need to be closed down, but overall their side is as fragile as a bride's nightie. There are a few players they try to hide out on the forward flank boundary line with strict instructions not to get in the way of their good players.
Dodd to shadow Wes (has done it before successfully in a final a few years ago), and MJ to go to Harry and annoy the hell out him all day. In the middle this would leave Semmler to go head to head with Jackamarra and I would back the velvet slegdehammer in his last game for Tasmans.

Peckers will look to kick against the breeze and go into 1/4 time with the lead or a small deficit. They then have the confidence they will be coming home with the wind and will look to have the game wrapped up by 3/4 time or earlier.
If Tasmans can win the toss, kick agaist the wind in the first quarter and apply scoreboard pressure in the first term look out for panic to set in to the Pecker rabble with the associated lack of discipline under pressure.

Easier said than done though. Tasmans by 13 points in a boilover.

I am sure this was mentioned by Bluey, but when was the last time the roosters and peckers clashed in the major round?
Boags, please don't reveal too many secrets....they are tasmans after all...

and MP I am looking forward to drinking a fair amount of west end watching the two sides I care less about belting the suitcase out of each other. All I need then is the proposed A Walker for P Dangersfield trade rumor that is sweeping melbourne to come to fact and it will be Nirvana.

KWF..any story behind Orbons playing 17's and not A's?

I cant agree. You are saying that whoever wins the toss should kick against the breeze? MJ has groin problems. Wes is a class above Dodd.
What players do they try and hide? The Blewitt bros? C Warrior? Devlin? J Roderick. I dont think you can say that about the peckers this year. From what I have seen they all contribute and have very few weak links.

I think that is the right selection bluestb. Orbons cant play forward and the pecker mobile forwards would have too much toe for him, so no logical match-up. I think they have made the right decision in not picking him, It was either him or Mason and the fact that Orbons could play in the juniors made the decision pretty easy.

BTB probably more about team balance we were possibly playing too many talls
and the match up on Dudley always a difficult one.
I,m a big fan of Mikeys and every year these decisions have to be made.
His inclusion into the 17s has given the boys a huge lift.
As for the u13s they have lost one game all year and being fine tomorrow
they are a big chance. As for Carls last game for the roosters I dont think so
especially the rumored huge money he is currently on :D :D

Sounds like there will be a few coaches running out with the water bottles on Sat.
Tasmans might have to man up on the waterboys.
