Actually, under the circumstances, I feel they did quite well.
They managed to get the teams out, have a little discussion of the matches and play some music that enabled me to write my reports during it. ;)
They survived the hour and achieved the aim of the program - read the teams out :)

i thought 'the office boy' at the advertiser knew more about footy than what the so called experts from the advertiser know

with this 'crackling' on the radio, i never heard it, are they sure it just wasn't on the station properly ?....so dennis browne turned up to do the show but who ''pulled the sickie'' ?

bottom line though is at least we got the teams albeit for games played on sunday
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Bayman, the reception problem did not appear to emanate from 5RPH. I got no crackling at all during the broadcast. It may have been a localised problem for some listeners.
Cheers

Why? They're not playing this week and all the relevant questions will be asked next week.

Because there are 3 teams left in the finals, there is enough time on the show to have 3 guests and with Yves' situation being based out of Alice Springs and flying down, it's something unique that is worthy of discussing further in an interview I feel :D

Who's the office boy on duty at the Advertiser tonight?
Are any cameos expected from the Vietnam Vets tonight?
And is there a podcast from last week's show?
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

Simple Answer mate, dont listen to it.

Maybe if West could have htfu and made it into the finals they might have had more West players on the show.

The Westies players are probably as boring as there playing style

Can't someone criticise or query something?

Critise every single week about the exact same thing.

Sibenaler is very relevant this week they will talk about last weeks game, plus his story of how he is coming down each week.

Its an hour show, would you prefer silence.

Geez have people ever thought some clubs make there players more accesiable than others.

I'm sure BP will tell you that most clubs make their players readily available, so that's just not a factor.

It's about professionalism and being aware of your audience. As a listener, I'd expect a degree of even-handed treatment of all 9 clubs. If teams who make the finals get extra exposure at that time, fine, but the extra exposure seems to be year-round.

Unfortunately, the perception is that if there's a spot to fill, it more often than not it comes from the same source.

That's also fine, but if the listening audience gets bored by it, some of them stop listening.
