Will bluey mention playing in 1961 or 1962 grand final in his preview tomorrow?

Yes $1.10
No $8

I will have $1m on it to win $100k thanks Grub.............honestly this is amateur hour at its best, how can a journo continually use his column as a vehicle to pump up his own ego FFS. We're sick of it....

Perhaps someone with no self-serving football history should get the gig...? That way they cannot sound like an ego-inflating tool!

You've used that word a little loosely WCP.

Look, I don't mind old Blue. Always has a chat and loves his local sport quite passionately and does cop a bit of a bagging for doing a job that obviously no one better credentialed wants to do. That said, surely the Times editors could have a quiet word and just advise that the repetition of 61 & 62 every second week is getting a bit tired.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

On the Bench is about to become Behind the Stumps with the cricket season fast approaching...

What is his 61/62 equivalent with cricket?

Surely to god he wont mention 61/62 AGAIN? I would like a slice of the $8 on offer.

Any odds for Georgie Burgoyne getting a mention WCP? ;)

If Bluey has mentioned 61/62 for the last twelve straight weeks, why would he not go for thirteen OL?

Think he'll go to the game this weekend? Or just call Tangles2K9 for the relevant info on Sunday morning???

Easy to bag Bluey but his hearts in the right place.
Particularly when the Times would pay jack sh!t for the job
any who else could we pick on?
Just on the Mallee side Windy Hill that would have to be
Robert Waye-Hill

I got the Waye-Hill one! Makes me feel clever

I think we could hit up Andy Page or Grub to do the write-ups. :D

Media Park you would be perfect for doing the match reports. As long as you dont bring up about that time you played a grade like bluey does with 1961 ;) . Luke Schrapel would also be handy I reckon. You should put your name forward.

I know of a couple of lads that wont be doing it next year

Overloaded, mate, I only make mention of my (limited) achievements, to promote the fact that they aren't really that special, and that if we build someone up when I have personally done something comparable, that means they haven't really done something that great.

As for writing, I contacted Chris Coote mid year, and since I have heard nothing, I assume in his eyes Bluey is doing nothing wrong...
