Massive win!!!!! What was it something like 41 off the last 3 overs and two fresh bats in!?

Not often in recent times that result would have occured for the 'backs, seems normally we just roll over and let the other team finish us off!

Without our imports, we just don't stack up as well.

South Australia: Cullen Bailey, Daniel Harris, Graham Manou, Daniel Christian, Gary Putland, Peter George, Callum Ferguson, Michael Klinger, Jake Haberfield, Tim Ludeman, Shaun Tait, Tom Cooper, Chris Duval, Cameron Borgas, Aaron O'Brien.

IMHO, with the exception of those highlighted, we look a second rate side, compared to the indian sides and the victorians... may scrape through the group though ala T & T last year

ohhh how we can be so very wrong... but please note my T&T reference...

if only we didnt have to play SS and FRC! :D

Scored 12 from 8 balls batting at three.

Dismissal:
he had the right ball to dispatch into the crowd but found the fielder, Tiwary makes amends for his drop earlier in the innings, a full toss on middle and he pulled it straight to deep backward square leg where Tiwary held his nerve to take that over his head and just inside the ropes

Was such a bad ball I think it took him by surprise. Could have just eased it over the fence in the end, but tried to hit it hard and mistimed it.

Best part of the win was the number of people who contributed.

Must say this tournament has been really good thus far. There have probably only been one or two games that haven't come down to the wire.

I think there's been enough T20 cricket played now that strategy / tactics are starting to get sorted out. Teams look to be trying to keep wickets in hand and explode late - that Redbacks game the other night, both teams were around 60-70 in the first 10 overs yet both made 180.

Some of the earlier T20 games the theory was you needed to be 50 after 6 overs but perhaps that's shifting a little.

Can't wait for the next game!!

Just to go a bit more technical...

72 (30 balls), strike rate of 240 runs per 100 balls... pretty handy, or so it seems...

Take out the nine sixes, and that leaves him with 18 runs, take out the nine balls with which he scored those nine sixes, and he's got 18 from 21 balls... not so great.

Removehis one boundary, and one delivery, and he's managed 14 from 20...

I read on Brod's stats that he was the fastest to 100 T20 sixes, and of those six (?) players, had the least fours...

So South Australia, if you play Mumbai again, stop those maximums, and you're safe.
